Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread

When I looked, it was close to the end of auction and prices were half that.

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread

BaT has 5 vintage cars for sale from the Perry collection out in CA. Nice looking cars, but seems the prices for these just hasn't taken off like some other brands.

Re: Diecast SAAB's

New one of a 900 SPG in 1/18. Otto is a newer co. that is pretty nice. Not quite Minichamps or Auto Art in detail level but they do lots of stuff those companies won't do. Lots of rally cars, VW's, and French cars. If you think you want one, they don't make many and tend to sell out quick. You can s...

Headwaters Rally

Anybody see they are only charging $50 to enter this? Anybody have a car close to being ready that they could bring? Mine might be. Low entry would offset some fuel costs for a long tow. It's May 21 and have 19 entries so far. Website doesn't have much info but most is on FB. Would be cool to pick a...

Bilsteins for rally

In researching for rear shocks for the rally car, I see several mentions of "rally-valved" Bilsteins. Bilstein only lists two shocks, the OE replacement and HD. How does one go about getting them rally valved? Do I just call Bilstein or are there other shops around that can do this? From w...

Re: 85 rally car rebuild

It actually survived the whole rally, all 55 stage miles. Had a first time co-driver along, but with only tulips, that worked out fine. Started off pretty well and was decently quick for the first three stages. This rally has 4 roads and we run each one back to back, plus a little super special to s...

Re: 1980 EMS on BAT Auctions

Right, just seems like they are sticking it to the seller twice. For cars under $5k, buyers will hesitant to bid the full price knowing they have to kick in another couple hundred bucks to the auction company. Seems to work for BaT, though. They seem to get bigger all the time and lots of eyes on th...

Re: 1980 EMS on BAT Auctions

Ebay is no where near that, though. I sold my BMW a couple months ago for a lot more than that and the fees weren't too bad.

Re: 1968 V4 Rally Car

What happened to the 900 build?
And we organizers hate when guys want to shake down their cars as a lead car. ;) Maybe Anders doesn't care, though.

Re: 1980 EMS on BAT Auctions

Went for 2500. I looked into their auction for my 83, but they want $200 to list it. That's a pretty significant amount for a car worth around $3k.

Re: 85 rally car rebuild

Getting close to being done. She ain't pretty, but seems like it'll run ok. Got everything done but can't seem to figure out how to hook up the rad fans. Car has been "customized" a lot over the years and none of the stock wiring for that is still there. Front end trim doesn't fit too well...

Re: 85 rally car rebuild

No rubbing once the car on the ground. Front end fixed up. Was gonna try myself, but finally found a body guy that understood it was an old race car and got it done in a day. Had to haul it about 45 miles but worth it I think. Even started up a bit. Just need to get it running, swap all the fluids, ...
