Correct way to mount it is a special bracket welded to the rear axel and make a smaller brake disc. This since it is very tight and you will get a lot of gravel in the caliper in the rear if you dont have a smaller disc. I can maybe get some pics for you if you are intrested,

You should use the early shaft with the early waterpump. This will work. I think it will work with the later specs IF you use the Aluminium sport and rally waterpump. hello You cannot use the 2.3 clutch, not allowed in historic, incorrect diameter. Saab used AP Single plate clutch. Its not avalible anymore in a good spec.
