Re: Carlisle 2013

Seems like there is not too much interest from this or the other forums. My SPG is not in the best state anyways since my recent move here and the lack of a place to work on it. This will change next month though so I'm thinking to maybe postpone and come next year as there might be a bit more to sh...

Carlisle 2013

I was wondering if any of you guys is going to attend the Carlisle event this year? Since I'm living in Virginia Beach now I thought I might come up and meet some people from this forum. I also just noticed that registration deadline is tomorrow.

Eastbound

After successful immigration to the USA in August, I sent my resume out to job openings all over the US. However, none of the job openings was located near Seattle, or even close to the west coast. I haven't seen much of the US yet other than the states bordering the Pacific as well as some states i...

Looks like a really good deal for $500. I think you can't go wrong with it if you have the space for the car.

Re: Wanted: S&R Wheel and SPG Wheel Arches

Weren't those boomerang wheels originally offered as an accessory for the 9000? I personally like the Saab Momo wheels like this one here http://media.photobucket.com/image/saab%20momo%20steering%20wheel/cubas/SaabCentral/vdo-aux-panel.jpg . I also like the Nardi classico leather wheels quite a bit ...

Re: '79 99 2-door notchback, Washington State

Am I the only one that thinks the US headlights and grill look way nicer than the euro grill and single headlights? No, I like it better too. So do most of the Europeans too. That's right. I'm from Germany and I can confirm that almost everybody there favors them over the square European headlights.

I understand early boxes were 3.89 too.

I've heard people putting 5 speeds into the chill-cast boxes. It must be possible then.

Re: Final Drives, are they interchangeable?

What part are you refering to as final drive? Usually the final drive is a numerical value (ratio) that combines the ratios of the primaries, gears, and ring and pinion ratios into one... basically the overall ratio between the engine and the road... HA, that's a good point. I recently created an E...

Re: Patience paid off - '89 900 SPG

Ha! Yep, sad to see it go, but it was a good run. I put 30,000 miles on that car and it only broke down once- a pinhole leak in a hose that I managed to control with a zip tie till I could get home. Not bad for an old saab. :) Oh yeah- the bumper strips are all there, just repainted flat black. The...

Re: Patience paid off - '89 900 SPG

Awesome! Looks like they only thing it is missing is the chrome bumper strips...and Trionic :) But honestly, if it is going to just be a clean weekend car... keep the Jetronic... Keep it original, keep it clean. Thanks. I would like to make this a very nice daily driver with some upgrades. I like t...

Re: Patience paid off - '89 900 SPG

It is a good thing you bought it. If you did not, it might have followed me home. It is a very nice example of a well cared for car. Some mods, but nothing over the top and all were executed nicely. I'm telling you the '89 was a good run for the 900s. I like '89 the most. No ABS clutter and Airbag ...

Patience paid off - '89 900 SPG

I've been looking for a 900t hatchback for quite a while now. Although I didn't expect to find a nice SPG anytime soon, or better said at all, it has always been one of my favorite Saabs, and one of the Saabs I always wanted. I especially like them in black, probably back from the days when my frien...

Re: 78 turbo Head and Exhaust Manifold w/ WG and Turbine Hou

I'm not sure anyone here besides me has an opperational b motor turbo car? Id give you a few bucks for em at carlisle if you come, but id not be willing to pay shipping cost. If I had these they would be my second secondary back up parts... but I do at least have the car these go with. Don't forget...
