Re: Shifter Bushings

A replacement shift selector did cure the issues, it now shifts smoothly into every gear (except second but I knew that was crunchy).

Re: Shifter Bushings

After discussion on the 900 Facebook group it looks like my shifter has been "modified" at some point. I'm not sure what the extra piece screwed on the end is but I'm going to try a different shaft assembly. https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/fr/cp0/e15/q65/20616002_10155857470...

Shifter Bushings

I am having troubles with the shifter in my 88 900 turbo. It would only go into a couple gears (3 & 4) and was very sloppy. I pulled the housing out and replaced the plastic bushing and rubber grommet where the shift rod enters the front of the housing. I put it back together in 3rd gear with a ...

Re: Project Loki - 1988 classic SAAB turbo

This one now belongs to me. I picked it up from Adrian a couple weeks ago.

In the process of changing the headgasket and hopefully I will get it on the road soon. My own build thread will come.

900 Turbo headgasket differences

I purchased a headgasket kit through eeuroparts for my 88 900 turbo. I didn't check the engine number first but the kit I ordered is listed for engine J082586+, my engine number is J081066. There is another kit listed for the engine range mine falls into but it is $100 more expensive. There is only ...

900 factory service manuals

I have a full set of the factory service manuals for the 900, 79-?. Multiple binders so it would be pretty heavy to ship, I can get a quote if interested.

I couldn't find any for sale with a quick search so I'm not sure what they are worth. I will accept offers on them.

Re: 74 99 EMS

The battery terminals were tight, maybe a wire at the battery cutoff switch came loose. I'll have to check it out when I get a battery for it.

Re: 74 99 EMS

I decided to do a little work on the Saab today. I got the header back on and finished hooking the wiring up in the engine bay. Replaced the fuel line from the pump to the accumulator that was cut by the PO. I put the Miata battery in and it cranked over, coughed a few times and then lost all power....

Re: 99 ems project found over on GRM forums

Yea it is mine, I figured I would have to sell it sometime when I bought it but I had some fun with it. I need the money for Rallycross National Challenge to get my car prepped and travel expenses.

Re: 74 99 EMS

Unfortunately not much, just a little tinkering with the wiring. Work on the Miata along with some maintenance on the motorcycle means that I haven't had much motivation to work on it lately. I am thinking about selling it to fund my trip to the rallycross national challenge in October but I'll keep...

Looks like an ebay copy of a Recaro to me. Some of them can be good seats for the money though, I have a knockoff Bride seat in my Miata and it is great.
