Ah I see. I thought it might be to give you space to fit the b202 engine.
I have a '72 4dr that I was thinking about putting a b202 in which is why I was asking as I had heard that the early 99 is a tight fit and you have to mod the bulkhead to fit it .
Any tips?

Re: '74 X7 Turbo
Very nice car you have built yourself there!
Quick question what did you use to mod the bulk head with ? Its obviously a cut out piece but is it 900 or 99?
Keep up the good work

I Like !
Its a brave man that paints a 95 black. It is very straight like the moonies but the wheels a bit far.

Re: Did europe get a smaller bumper for the 99s?
In the UK the 72 on 99's had the same rubber bumper as the 96 V4 then gained larger bumpers and lights from around 80 ish. When we also got the H-type motor and the c900 style doors But the 99 turbo kept the early doors and the B-type !

Re: 92 brake issue
I'm fairly confident that you will have the same system in the US as we have here in the UK.
If so its a FORD abs pump same as found on Ford Scorpio/Granada here in the UK.
Quick way to tell is to look at the plug it should have he ford oval on it.

Re: Top Gear UK - Saab
Was it your 99t that they used on the show ??
And whats this about having to left foot brake whilst keeping the revs up on a stroker !?!?
I haven't had one (yet!) but I thought that was what the freewheel was for !!!!!!!!
Nice to see the researchers worked hard ! All they had to do was ask Mike !?

The V4 is 5x170mm (5 x 6" 4/5)
Very close to the Landrover stud pattern
I have some specs for adaptors to convert to 99 patten if you would like them .
or I have posted in your other thread re wide steels !

Re: Wheel widening?
You need to find yourself some early Landrover steel wheels and cut the centres out of them ! If you find the right one they are rivited to the centres and can be ground out and if you have early V4 rims those are rivited in as well ! This will give you a 6" wide 16" steel rim ! I got a fe...
