Re: C900 gearbox girdle

Glad to see you are undertaking another wacky project Dennis!

Those diagrams gave me flashbacks as well! Did 2 years of tribology and mechanical transmissions on the 3rd and 4th Year at Uni.

Good luck with this one and your ability to find a further use for a Park bike stand is impressive.

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo

My comment was more an expression of my frustration that the trip to come and visit is a bit more involved than just getting in the car or jumping on the bus! I concur, passion for something is what life is all about. Just have quite a lot of passions in my life! Necessary to undertake some serious ...

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo

You have done an amazing job :yay: I am extremely impressed by the myriad of skills and the determination that you have demonstrated in getting the project finished. Would love to 'pop round' and see it in person but I checked and it involves a 1 hour drive to Heathrow, a very long wait in the depar...

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo

Can appreciate where you are coming from re the 0-0 draw, or no-score bore as it can be known.

Can't wait to hear the test and evaluation.

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo

'Tis a thing of beauty!

Had to google Seattle Seahawks to discover what sport you were referring to! Apparently they play something called football but with a funny shaped ball.

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo

Dennis, Slight digression, have you ever considered designing and manufacturing an intake manifold? Always on my mind. Need to get the header under my belt first and maybe start thinking seriously about the intake. What is funny is it will be the same process all over again, but in a different mate...

Re: Chillcast box with 5 speed conversion and type 8 primari

I did pick up a random lateish 4 speed a while back, still not unwrapped it - I *think* it's a 99 one so not what you're looking for, but if it does turn out to be the one you're after, it's got your name on it. Type 8's you're on your own  Thank you very much. I believe I need to find a box f...

Re: Chillcast box with 5 speed conversion and type 8 primari

Koogi, have you managed to find the final drive yet? :) Ummm.... no not yet. Still haven't found a 4 speed box from the right years. I also need the type 8 primaries at some point plus some other strengthened parts. That's just the box!! Like you been very busy, but not for the same reasons. ;) Am ...

Brilliant!

You will have had plenty of practice when I (meaning you) do my 4 speed version of your box. :yay:

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo

Coming up on 10 months since I first had the metal flanges for the head. It is simple if I knew what I was doing, but it has been a learning experience the whole way. Swanky? I'm sure it is the lighting. Thanks for the compliment. I too am Jonesin to fire it up. It still needs oil and waterlines ma...

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo

Let's see a picture of your model. Since it is a model save as a .stl file and have it printed in abs or ultem and test fit it. Ultem you might be able to run it for 30 seconds b  It would be the same as the last pic but now everything lines up. Not a bad idea to have it 3d printed. Could...
