Re: 63 Bullnose Rally Project

Have you removed the rubber from the vibration dampener and locked the assembly?

What is the main pulley set up, is it keyed or converted to Monte Carlo pin style? The keyed type tends to break at those high RPM's along with the front crankshaft shaft the pulley is carried on...

Re: So I bought a bullnose stroker

There is a difference in exhaust valves, turbo exhaust valves are sodium filled to keep them cooler which helps prevent burning of the valve. Turbo cars had differen...

Re: Help a Fool - Engine Revs Up When Gentle but Dies Under

Either a bad impulse switch, faulty thermal time switch or wiring issue. The purpose of the impulse contact switch is to give a...

Re: Something slightly different in the shop

I have several of these cars spanning many different years (close serial number to the one mentioned, also have worked on lower serial numbered car), non have anything like what is being described… ...

"With that in mind SAAB 2 strokes even with the best of care don't last for ever and is the reason they offered like 8 different piston sizes as stock and 10 different sized wrist pin bearings." Taken care of and driven as recommended it was not uncommon when new to get several hundred tho...

Re: Saab 99 Rally Gearbox ratios re-manufacture

At this time the talk is about late style CR set with shift muffs, forks and fingers for 2000-2500 GBP?

It has also been mentioned that 6:31 R&P are available in Sweden? Where is this information obtained?

Can this be confirmed?
