personally, i like the kumhos, dunlops and michelins, I had a set of bridgestones and they hydroplaned and the compound seemed to be very slippery and caused the car to slide, Pirellis always seem to have a soft compound that grips well but wears out very fast. I like michellins but they are quite e...

+1 Jordan!! I usually try to sneak in a little extra work on a c-900 when it comes in for service, saab owners a funny bunch, most of the owners either dont want to spend any money at all and are about to junk the cars, or theres these Neil Armstrong types that want to blast into outer space with th...

you also have to remember that 9 out of 10 times the reason a c900 is in the junkyard is because the trans is blown. the engines dont go bad!!!!when these cars blow a trans they go straight to the scrap yard. i took apart 2 transmissions to build one and i still need 2nd,3rd,4th gear synchros and mu...

the transmissions are very expensive, a rebuilt unit from erickson is $3,000 . by comparison, my upgraded T-5 93 cobra trans was $900 dollars. and it can handle 350Lbs of torque, it is also very labor intensive to swap trannies left and right. As far sa I am concerned, I am just doing some light tun...

well if you run low octane in a turbo car, the knock sensor will detect detonation, and either lower boost or retard the timing to keep the engine from being damaged, saabs apc system does that, if you run high compression, turbo or supercharger and you want high performance, you have o pay for supe...

yea and make sure you are running high enough octane gas thats alot of compression, usually over 10:1 and you will need higher than 93 octane, at least thats how my 351 acted whne i put flap top 10:1 srp pistons in it. maybe look into an additive, i used to run klotz lead additive in my moto cross b...

spray the seal wih silicone while u move the seal with a wooden paint mixer, as you spray, lube it up good, my friend gary was really good at removing them, he would recline the seat and put both feet squarely on each side of the windshielf from inside the car and pop it out, its tricky, best if you...
