Re: Slave cylinder travel distance

Looks like my problem is solved. I took apart the clutch and didn't see any problem with its operation. Turned out I had not accurately adjusted the shifter linkage when installing the new transmission, which was causing the issue.

Re: Best "performance" clutch for a C-900?

Jeff - I recently swapped out my Spec stage III c900 clutch for a Spec Stage III 9000 Aero clutch. The smaller diameter c900 clutch wasn't holding at 400ish whp, but it barely has any miles on it and would work great on a slightly less extreme setup. If you're interested in it shoot me a PM.

Re: Slave cylinder travel distance

I am having a similar issue in my car. Just replaced the previous clutch setup with the following: '91 9000 2.3 Flywheel, resurfaced Spec Stage 3 9000 clutch kit New throwout bearing & pilot bearing We bled the clutch multiple times, and still it is difficult to engage gears. Diagnosis was that ...

Re: who all is running T5 heads on b202's??

I'm starting my T7 head swap as well. Got one from a 2001 9-5 Aero with 70k. Currently I am concerned with the valve springs - there are upgraded springs available for the T5 heads, but not the T7 cars. Has anyone seen upgraded T7 valve springs anywhere? I have seen Gorper's modifications in person ...

Re: FS: Shelby 8-spoke rally wheels

Hmm, I tried replying before but I don't know what happened.... Ghosts in FireFox? Anyway, they come with four Inca caps which are a direct fit but do not look 100% like the original shelby caps. The shelby caps have several "nubs" around the edge and are very hard to find. I have only two...

Well, lag is welcomed in this case :D My goal is to push power up the RPM range in order to avoid the shock that the transmission endures with low-end torque, especially in lower gears where wheelspin-hookup-wheelhop-kaboom occurs. This was my reasoning for buying the big-boy turbo in the first plac...

"Stages" make sense for mailbox tunes that tuning companies sell as a marketing tool. For cars where everything is custom, calling out a particular "stage" doesn't make any sense at all. Other than to confuse other enthusiasts. What stage is standalone? eleven-teen? Back on topic...

Can somebody explain the fascination with 400hp now? Even if everything else stayed together (which it won't without some serious engineering or/and $$) there no way you are going to get traction in any gear with an open differential and any sort of wheel that fits under the fenders. It's going tak...

Thanks guys! Very helpful, basically confirming my thoughts about the B2X2 head. "Eventually" I'd like to go to the T5 or T7 head with the GT ball bearing turbo. For now, with this setup it looks like I'm going to drop down to a smaller compressor wheel (410bhp instead of 500bhp max) which...
