i removed a broken water pump from my 78 99 by drilling straight down through the shaft... tapping the hole to accept some sort of long bolt and then used a slide hammer to 'gently' pull it out.. this was with the 12 cog and the motor in the car... it worked, no problem but i did have to be careful...

geoff, for now... no rally car :( all the stuff goes to mike who has a car with a cage and i thought he could use all the good bits i had... i liked the gearbox set-up i had, it was so much better than running a 5 speed with a 31:30 set-up... the interesting thing was how i didnt have to use max rpm...

geoff, nice spreadsheet.. my S&R gearbox (now Mike's) had the 6:31 ring gear and i put in a 30:30 primary , which i pulled together from a 30:27 (stock 99 turbo chainset) and 31:30 (stock na 4spd) utilising the chains from the 31:30 and the tensioner from that box as well... what are the numbers...
