Re: Tractor Buying Fail

Show them "someone else's" bank account... haha, you didnt say that they specifed the account had to be in your name, so I'm with Jon! Having just bought a very heavily used compact utility tractor which I think a got a good deal on, I can feel your pain, All I could think about was how f...

Re: 93' Road Racer Build

I also have one of those spoilers, love them, they were used on the SAAB rally support vehicles. The one I have has never been mounted with the part number sticker still on the inside. They are pretty flimsy, so I was also thinking about making a mold to make spares. When it is an open geometry lik...

Re: 93' Road Racer Build

At this point probably won't be making a mold. Focus needs to be on getting the car running and driving. I may in the future consider making a mold/repros when time allows. I also have one of those spoilers, love them, they were used on the SAAB rally support vehicles. The one I have has never been...

Re: Adjustable Cam gears

Ok heres one idea I had - we already have 38 teeth on the "Sprockets" (Hi Jon) which correspond to roughly 19 degrees at the crank - so we already have adjustability at that resolution. If I mill off the existing keyway and then drill a number of press-fit holes say 3-5 for dowel pins (the...

Adjustable Cam gears

Hi All, In need of a set of adjustable cam gears for the B202, long story but the cams I have are whacky and I can't get the timing right without these. I think I have access to a loaner set for now to get the car running, but will need another set eventually. I will be at the eeuro meet this weeken...

Re: Metal Working Tools

Pascal, I guess it depends highly on budget, my recommendation would be to get something in the 10-12" range for swing 24"-30" for bed length. I have a 25" bed and honestly have never needed anything longer for the stuff I do, as I'm not Any larger than that gets really heavy and...

Re: C900 Vented Hub Adapters

I have a set of Axxis ULT's on my street car, I bought them maybe 3 or so years ago, and now that I look I don't see part number for them on the web - They seem really nice for spirited street drives.

Re: Great community here

Jordan and I started this site many years ago really as an effort to schedule the rally team events and have a place to document our projects, etc. It grew rather quickly as others saw some neat projects going on wanted to contribute ideas and before long the spambots had taken notice as well. We tr...

Re: gear kits

I don't think I'd want to daily drive a straight cut gearbox car. Lots of noise tends to come out of straight cut gears. Think of that wirring sound that reverse makes and now think about that sound in your ears all day at 75 mph on the highway. What about running this gearset in a 5 speed box? The...

Re: gear kits

Basically the same ratio's as S&R, so big R&P is ideal, for high speed events a stock R&P with a #4 primary set and small rolling diameter tires is workable but not ideal.
