Re: Group Buy: Bimarco Seats (Link to buy added)

Yeah, i told them my waist size and they said they can just add the padding at the factory, but that it wouldnt be removable, so that sounded OK to me. They can also do custom colors and logos, I'll post pics when it arrives :eyebrows:. I was looking at the Grip, but since I'll probably be driving t...

Re: Group Buy: Bimarco Seats (Link to buy added)

Yeah I just ordered a Futura, with custom extra padding since it's a bit wide for me from the looks of it, and they seemed to agree. I think the height should be good though, from the weird measurements that I was able to find, but it's not like I'm 7 feet tall or anything. I sat in Gary's Corbeau (...

Re: Group Buy: Bimarco Seats (Link to buy added)

So, has anyone actually installed their seats yet? I'm shopping around for a seat for ITB car, considering the bimarcos 'cause they're so damn cheap, but are they any good?

Re: Saab 900 Notchback Rally Car

Theres also this option that I noticed lately http://www.ebay.com/itm/48mm-ITB-Throttle-body-set-4cyl-tps-DCOE-DHLA-weber-dellorto-efi-race-/271293035672?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f2a533498&vxp=mtr Definitely cheaper than previous options, as well as more basic, though it looks l...

Re: trove of saabs

Yeah, looks like a mix of PA and NY inspections, the level of rust involved would indicate its somewhere up near the PA/NY border most likely. Also, oddly, looks like some of the pretty bad looking cars have fairly recent inspections, there's a volvo 164 with what looks like '12's on it. Guy seems l...

Re: S&R Gearset

I put together a spreadsheet a while back to plot speeds with different gearing options (S&R gear set, ring & pinion, primary gears, standard 5spd with 4spd primaries, etc.) See below: Ratios.jpg The graph above shows speeds at 7000rpm in a car with 1928mm diameter gravel tires. I used a fe...

Re: 75 99 ITB racer

Haha, its ok, I'm fully aware that cars occasionally crash, thats why we've got all this safety equipment nonsense, looks like it worked pretty well in this case! Did a little more work today, pressure washed out the engine bay and interior (harder to get water out of the inside of a 99 than you'd t...

Re: 75 99 ITB racer

Hey, how about an update! Decided it was time to dust this thing off and do something with it, especially since Gary keeps bugging Delorean and I about more Saabs at the hillclimbs. So, going to build this thing up with hillclimbs in mind, not going to run ITB, too restrictive, instead I'm shooting ...
