Problem is if you realy like classic 900 then there is nothing you can do about crappy weak gearbox. I know you can make the box better but it is still weak compared to other cars. And it looks like there is no similar setups as C900 to make a swap

I was thinking if another's car engine and transmission setup can easily be setup on C900. I can't think of any other powerplant that would fit without major chassis rework. I was thinking of Audi Quatro and just using the front wheel drive function, or Subaru. Any ideas?

Drew Viggen is 2.3L a better engine by far so you can't compare that to your 85. And LH2.2 sucks. The point is it's slightly more work than a 2.1 head in the first place, and nets even better results, so why not? 2.1L is bolt on, and T5 requires major work. Also LH2.4 is bolt on with few more wires ...
