Trionic CPS kit for C900 with shutter wheel

I'm selling a C900 Trionic CPS mounting kit (Squaabworks v1.0). It was recently installed and tested in SPG T5 conversion, but I'm aching to get back my air conditioning (now that I live down south) and I am going the flywheel route. This kit is built well, and I think later versions are a little li...

Re: WTB: Ecodes for '85 900

Well, the lip is pretty bent. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and mangle it back into shape. I had grand plans of painting the car once I got the annoying mechanical stuff done, which I had finally got around to before I moved. Did I mention I am now down in the Big Easy? Funnily enough, I've seen 3...

WTB: Ecodes for '85 900

Some knucklehead backed into my '85 SPG and broke the driver side headlight and bent the hood.. If you have a spare Ecode lying around and want to get rid of it, now's your chance! I really prefer the Euro headlights so if you have a set in good condition, I am also willing to purchase a pair.

Saab 900 and LH and APC upgrades

Doing a little housecleaning and found some goodies that I no longer need. I've got a Group 9 Stage 2 APC box, an LH 2.2 Stage 2 ECU mapping from Jak Stoll, and a Talon/Eclipse intercooler. I ran the stage 2 box in my '89 SPG and I must say, it definitely gives you boost -- it's supposed to work by ...

Re: Type 8 Primaries.

I actually called up some people in the UK and they stated that #8s were difficult to find. At the very least they are next to impossible to find in the U.S., at least where I've looked. I asked my machinist about fabbing some, and he didn't seem terribly interested... I've been wondering whether an...

bore sizes for aftermarket calipers

Hi All, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some aftermarket brakes for my 85 spg. I am planning to go with the Powelite calipers from rallydesign.co.uk using Luke's adapters, with 1" bores, and NDL Dynalites up front. I wanted to get an opinion about the best bore size to match the stock ...

Re: Solid to vented rotors

If I'm not mistaken you also need to swap calipers from an 86/87 to make the vented rotors work (since they are wider)? I actually have a related question to piggyback on this thread. What's the width of a vented rotor? I have solid rotors on my '85 currently but I want to switch to vented when I ge...

hi sonnett, can you give some details about the universal joint you used to replace the standard rubber coupler? i was thinking of doing this as well, how much does the selector/shift shaft have to be modified? also i got the same short shifter as you in the group buy. installed it this weekend and ...

Out of curiosity, what other Wilwood calipers will this adapter fit? Is it a "standard" wilwood bolt pattern?

I just looked at the Speedparts gearset (helical gears), and it's 38.5 SEK. At the current conversion rate, that's, get ready, $6000+. Sweet jesus those must be some strong gears! I can't translate the page, so I don't know the specs. Anyone know about these?

from what i gather, something like $3K seems to be the price point that people are willing to pony up for a "strengthened" gear box. the question is, what exactly would this buy you, and in what quantities? i think scanwest charges around $3K for a gearbox with the works (shot peened/cryo'...

I'm following this thread with interest since I recently started hearing the dreaded pinion whine in my '85 SPG. I'm hoping to keep it going for a little while longer while I save up for a moderately "strengthened" gearbox from Scanwest, which seems to be the best option in the states. Not...

damn, looks like you guys did some nice work! just out of curiosity do you have any dimensions on the stock pedal, like total length and distance between pivots? i will dig in soon since i want to find out if i have to replace either the booster/master or can get away with a higher leverage pedal (e...
