Are you sure you are overextending the slave and it isnt just an o ring failure?

I looked at them years ago and the T5 valves are already pretty slimmed down above the valve seats. I know the T7 valves are some special nickel alloy , but they are so spindly looking it was kind of questionable whether it was a move in the right direction. Between that and the compression loss it ...

For what it's worth, I've never actually seen or had an inner driver failure besides a broken axle or tripod taking one out. I think the sleeve would be slightly beneficial as more of a protective armor, but not much need for it otherwise.

I measured a 3 degree taper. 0.243” -> 0.196” over 0.9in.

It might be a dual fork selector? I've also just run a standard bolt and nut in them. I can measure a pin for you when I get a moment.

Could obviously be a few culprits, but I have heard of the speedo drive gear in the transmission breaking. That would probably be worst case scenario.

The NGK one is a reboxed OEM one. Just make sure it has an SEM sticker on it

I would first determine which cylinder and what aspect of combustion it is having problems with. Compression, fuel or spark. That should narrow down the direction of further investigation. Report back with your findings...
