Engine pulling party and I was not invited? Bummer. Next time give me a call. I need to replenish my C900 spares.

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo

Got the flange fittings fully welded. IMG_5386[1].JPG Back to the bench as it will make fit up easier.. Got the downpipe in its happy spot an locked down. I should be able to connect the dots from the wastegates to the downpipe, and be good to go. IMG_5389[1].JPG The Medusa Manifold! (Check your Gr...

Re: Green Llama, 85 turbo T5 conversion

Hi, Good luck with this problem. These can be a pain in the ass to chase down. Any chance you have the OBII port wired into the harness? You can plug a OBII code reader and it will tell you if the crank position sensor is shot. Super handy for trouble shooting these kinds of issues. ( I snagged mine...

Re: c900 Trailer Hitch

I have that hitch on my 900. It is designed for an earlier 900. My '88 required cutting a square slot in the bumper to mount up. It clears beneath the earlier bumpers without cutting. This is a very strong mount. Have used it extensively and came in handy this winter when I went into the ditch. A tr...

Re: T5-ing my 99

Your TPS display should be at zero at idle. If not you need to zero out. I did this years ago so I can't quite remember the sequence. If you have not done it, have the T5 manual, both the 160+pages and the shorter manual, printed off at your local print shop. You can find a lot of this information w...

Re: T5-ing my 99

This doesn't sound like a software issue. Pin 59 will bump the idle all the time as it is telling the ecu that the air cond. is on (About 200 rpm). Check your Idle control valve or try cleaning it. T5 is very good at handling the idle. It should never be up around 1,500. Open up dashboard on T5 suit...

Re: SAAB Sonett, FTD at the VSCCA Mount Equinox Hillclimb 20

Really enjoyed your footage. That was quite fun to watch. I liked the long relatively straight run near the end of the climb. It looked like the throttle was pegged to the floor! Nicely done Stefan.

Re: T5-ing my 99

John,
I use a Radio Shack power source that Mike D found to work perfectly for providing 15 volts.

Enercell
1000mA
15v

Just rewire the ends for ground and power to the ecu. I ran an extra wire out to the SFI plug for the power to pin 65.

Hope to see you in Seattle in a few weeks.

I will be there. I haven't missed an SOC since my first in 2000. I will be bringing a few cars, including my "Couldn't have done it without Jordan" T5 Pearl White SPG. http://www.nysocphotos.com/Jon-Williams-Garage/Trionic-5-and-TE05-16G-Turbo/i-XppdQZd/0/L/DSC02065-L.jpg This is why I wi...

Re: Reproduction special tool 8392987 Flywheel Lock

Nicely done. I remember chocking when I paid for my ebay locking tool and was out $55. This is a great little tool and I think it is worth reproducing. Once you get this done you can copy the big clutch compressor tool. That is definitely something that needs to be redone.

Just make a run of 25. Whatever you can't sell here you can throw up on SaabCentral, Ebay and elsewhere.

Re: T5-ing my 99

Getting the laptop to recognize the adapter can be a b*tch. You need the correct driver's in the laptop and make sure you have the latest service packs, net framework etc. to make sure everything is up to date. Sometimes people have downloaded 1-4 or just the latest net framework to get T5 and the L...

Re: T5-ing my 99

You don't need a resistor. The documentation has a convoluted way of saying the ECU itself is the resistor. From the little I have done hanging out on T5 suite, it was mentioned that you "may" need to have the resister added for it to work properly. Mine would not work without the added r...

Re: T5-ing my 99

Jordan is correct. The three codes are all purge valve codes. You need to connect to the ecu and uncheck the purge valve settings in T5 suite. There are two and they are always checked in the stock configuration. Once T5 suite is open go to Actions>Trionic Firmware Settings>Misc. Uncheck purge contr...
