Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -spring '17 prep

Hmm, rtv. Was planning to apply some "high temperature" on each side on the gasket this time. Flares in progress, needed modification due to larger wheels... =) http://forumbilder.se/G7FKM/img-4102.JPG http://forumbilder.se/G7FKM/img-4101.JPG http://forumbilder.se/G7FKM/img-4131.JPG Electr...

Re: Ducktail spoiler 99/900 hatch

The spoiler you have is for a cc right? I have a modified cc-spoiler on my sedan, a look that I prefer instead of the original sedan-spoiler where the spoiler sits on top of the lid. Is the plan to make replicas of the original sedan spoiler or a modified cc-version which fits the sedan (like below)...

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -spring '17 prep

Got some work done on the manifold today, had some leakage around cylinder 1 and 4 last year. Welded against something stiff and grinded to see where it needs material. http://forumbilder.se/G7ERN/img-4090.JPG 1st weld. http://forumbilder.se/G7ERN/img-4091.JPG Grinding round 1. http://forumbilder.se...

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -spring '17 prep

Got the wheels with tires mounted some days ago, no more stretch... ;) They are very wide, will have to modify the rear flares again :P

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -spring '17 prep

Probably back-pressure related, my exhaust is quite open and catless. Its a common issue when running theese turbos with low backpressure.

Thanks, its nice to improve some details after each season.

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -movie time

Had an issue with rising base boost last year, this should help I hope. http://www.forumbilder.se/G762H/img-3940.JPG http://www.forumbilder.se/G762H/img-3951.JPG Cooling fan setup is changed, gonna run a setup from a 9-5 with dual fans. Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -movie time

Been spending a lot of time during the christmas vacation with convertering my brothers c900 from auto to manual, which will turn out great :) http://www.forumbilder.se/G73E8/img-3782.JPG Finally got the centers painted, gold with black bolts, a classic combo. Think it will suit the car well! http:/...

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -movie time

Nice! Where have you found the artec flares? Actually there is still more height in the original wheel arches, so one could cut even more... The boot spoiler is the cc-part, modified quite a bit to fit the radius of the sedan :P I'm not a fan of the original sedan one. Yes, the driveshaft failure wa...

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -movie time

Thanks for posting. I saw your mod on the Turbo Sweden forum. Was going to send 99Super the link as he was looking for a fix on his larger tires. Sorry, I'll try to be better on updating this forum too :) I think (or hope) that the overall look of the car will remain good, altough we're talking mor...

The plan is to run less stance next year and instead focus more on motorsport look without stretched tires. The plans inc...

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -end of season trackday

Now there's an episode about the car (and me). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kxVklso9xQ&app=desktop Otherwise, the car is up working, attended a trackday two weeks ago on Federal 595-RSR tires, and the suspension setup works fine, the car handles really good and is a pleasure to drive. Loads ...

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -end of season trackday

Much better arrangement than what you had before. Are you planning on supporting the turbo other than by the manifold itself? Pretty large mass cantilevered off the head by the time you add the downpipe. I'm not familiar with that turbo. Is it a twin scroll? If so did you add a divider at the merge...

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -end of season trackday

Rebuilt the manifold, changed turbo placement and hopefully more 900 Turbo sound. Turbo will be TD04-19T#7.
