Bosch D-Jetronic Contact Trigger Points Wanted

Hi folks, I'm after a set of contact trigger points for my 1974 99 EMS with Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection. These are the double points set that sit in the lower section of the ignition distributor. A new or even a good used set would be perfectly fine. I will also consider a complete distributor w...

Re: Fuel pump problems??? 1973 SAAB 99LE F.I.

I picked one up last year for my 74 EMS. Pretty sure that was an 015.
The end of the day, these parts are getting harder to source for the D-Jet system. We have to get them when we can. If it's just the mounting, I'm sure you can sort something out for that.

Re: 99 EMS Primary gear ratio

Ah right. I would say that if they were 1972 or before they will have 0.95:1 ratio primary gears and 73 onwards, 1:1 primaries. But as I say, EMS is the odd one as it's lower geared that the standard car and as you have said 55 @ 3000 and both ems I know of are 50 @ 3000 then the ems is definitely a...

Re: 99 EMS Primary gear ratio

Ok thanks John.
I know that the EMS is lower geared than the standard car, though, so just trying to work out what year standard car I need a set of primaries from.

Re: 99 EMS Primary gear ratio

Cheers for the replies guys.
I know my father swapped the gear type primaries on his 74 EMS for a set from a standard 99 many years ago and he said there was a difference in gearing afterwards.

John, what engine was in your 73, 1850 Triumph or a 1985 B series?

99 EMS Primary gear ratio

Hi folks, I know this isn't motorsport related, but can anyone tell me what ratio the primary gears (not chain and sprocket type) are on my 74 EMS? The gearing is very low, 50mph at 3000rpm/70mph at 4000rpm and my Father changed the primary gears on his 74 EMS years ago for a set from a standard sin...

Re: Fuel pump problems??? 1973 SAAB 99LE F.I.

My 74 EMS is running a K-Jetronic type pump mounted in the boot floor. I also swapped the metal fuel tank for a later plastic type from a single carburettor 99. Not a bad job to do and rules out any rust/corrosion in the fuel issues. Have you checked the pulse trigger points in the lower part of the...

Re: Early design 99 EMS gril badge wanted

Thanks, I think. lol That was the route I was thinking of going for now to be honest. I know the dimensions of the badge and have a good quality clear image of one, so will have one printed in vinyl for now. Regarding a hood badge, yes I do have a spare, but am afraid I'm keeping it as that, a spare...

Re: Early 99 Parts

I have shipped Saab parts to Sweden, France, Israel, Netherlands, etc. No problem shipping to the UK. The grille/head light surrounds have (unsurprisingly) a lot of interest! madwelshman you are the third person in line. Let me know what else you are interested in. That doesn't actually surprise me...

Early design 99 EMS gril badge wanted

Hey folks, I have a 1974 99 EMS that I'm slowly restoring. One part that I am missing is the EMS badge from the centre of the radiator grill. The car has the earlier silver stainless steel type grill, not the black plastic type. https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com...
