Re: Whole car or parts?
I think that's the best way to go, covers both options that way too.

Re: Whole car or parts?
The problem with trying to part it is the risk of selling 3 essential parts then nothing... And having a worthless paperweight that no one wants

Whole car or parts?
'89 900S, with a stripped down interior for rallyX and a bunch of repairs I it more valuable as a running car or as individual parts? I really don't wanna part a running 900 but I'm a rally driver before a Saab enthusiast... Radiator replaced Heater core replaced Power steering rack replaced with us...

Re: Shock Rebound Stiffness
Well after installing, testing, re-researching, I've found it depends on way to many other variables to make a conclusive statement. But if you have soft springs, you need more compression to prevent bottoming out, and less rebound because the springs aren't as strong to resist. Alternatively you ca...

Re: Shock Rebound Stiffness
Because mine aren't re-valved I think I'll go with full soft.. One of the front shocks was defective so I will only be able to put the rear in before my RallyX this Saturday, but once I get the fronts in I'll see what it's like and if I desperately need to re-valve them for more compression/less reb...

Shock Rebound Stiffness
What are people running for rebound stiffness?
Just picked up some KONI specials, to use with some progressive rally springs.
Obviously the softer it is, the faster it rebounds, so what's good for a FWD rally car?

Re: 130 Amp Alternator
Well there's that too, but wouldn't the chance of one failing go down as well because I'm only ever using them to say 60-70% capacity? As opposed to one 130 amp working at 70-80%.
Now that i know I won't blow my car up, I just have to solve the mounting and belt issues...

Re: WRC style hood cutout
That's what I'm beginning to think I'll have to do (rubber seals), I just wanted to know if there was an actual product for this out there.

Re: 130 Amp Alternator
Rally lights, hi-beam and a few other things running for night stages. It starts to push the OEM alternator a bit much for my liking. If I was drawing 70 amps, 2 alternators wired in parallel would produce 35 amps each... but would I need to beef up some of the wires to handle potential loads above ...

Re: 130 Amp Alternator
On the topic of alternators, would it be possible to run a second one in parallel? The AC never worked in my 900, so i finally just removed it. I don't know about mounting hardware to fit it onto the AC bracket, or if I could solve the issue of different sized belts between the 2, but in theory woul...

WRC style hood cutout
I'm looking at duplicating the cabin intake hole on the passenger side, in the same spot on the driver's side. I want to make it a full cutout, with a mesh guard but I can't find anything to act as a lip at the front of it to allow hot air out. This is the best example of what I'm looking for that I...

Re: T5 Flywheels
It looks that spread around the forum (a lot in this thread) and with people's experiences there is almost a step by step T5 instructional... Just a thought for someone with any amount of time, and the knowledge to help those of us struggling to take in all the information
