Re: Autocross build

When I got the car it had no exhaust after the intermediate pipe. What I bought was 99 parts so yes the "T" muffler is waiting to go on.

Re: Autocross build

Ok next step in my build. I need a part number for the bosal tailpipe for my turbo. I bought a pipe but it turns out is for the NA not turbo. It simply won't fit at all. Before anyone tries to tell me my performance will suffer, I am installing a cutout before the muffler. I need it quiet on long tr...

Re: Autocross build

Good news the running issue is resolved. The previous owner was an idiot jumping to the conclusion that the computer must be bad when he hadn't gone through the full diagnostic steps. The problem was a tired relay. The contacts were burned up and as a result no power was reaching the computer or fre...

Re: Autocross build

Ok now that the running issue is diagnosed its time to think about springs. Since this is not a daily driver I'm looking at going a lot stiffer than stock. I'm thinking about using 550# springs in the front and 500# in the rear. I've built lots of different race cars and I try to use what works for ...

Re: What brand is this swaybar?

The previous owner said even on the softest setting the car was very prone to oversteer.

What brand is this swaybar?

Image

I was told it was purchased at the same time as the car, from the catalog. This clearly isn't an addco (that is the brand in the catalog)

Re: Autocross build

Saturday I disassembled the suspension. While I was at it I decided on a ride height. Now all I have to do is buy springs and get the shocks revalved to match. I apologise for the big photos my phone doesn't understand 640x480 http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb75/philiprodda/IMG_20121230_193016.j...

Re: Frustrated with CIS

Turns out this one is fine. The rest are normal single or double pole relays so I'm actually ok I think.

Re: Frustrated with CIS

Ok I've found the problem but I'm not 100% sure how to solve it. Both the frequency valve and computer are not getting power 12v+ when I run a wire from the battery to both it all starts working. So my guess is a relay is not doing its job. I'm guessing its the fuel pump/fi relay. The issue is where...

Re: Frustrated with CIS

Question on relays. Is the lambda relay the one screwed to the bottom of the fuse panel?
