What size are the primaries on the header? 1.5"?

Re: Rebuilding hydraulic lifters
How hard did you have to "slam" the lifter? I copied your tool design and slammed the lifter against a piece of pine & just ended up nicking the lifter's edge. Seems counter-intuitive to hit the lifter to pop the piston out when it should pull out. I don't know how to grab on to it wit...

Re: 90 Talladega SPG
Ah good idea! Now that you say that I maybe remember seeing pictures of that years ago, I will have to look into doing that, did you run into any issues with it scratching the paint on the hatch or was it recessed into the spoiler? I milled down the fiberglass so that the strips were recessed in &a...

Re: 90 Talladega SPG
For the whaletail mounts, I milled down the fiberglass 1/8" and made some aluminum strips to run across the mounts & screwed & epoxied them in. 1000% better them trying to tightened screws into old brittle fiberglass.

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread
I just have to laugh at this ebay ad. Yeah the car has no rust. That's why you didn't take any real pictures of the engine compartment and what's that bubbling red-ish paint above the wheel archs? The carpet is molded. Wonder what's underneath it? Poor thing is just absolutely trashed. Worth about $...

Re: 900 Whaletail Spoiler - $750 Shipped
I guess I haven't priced these in a while as I was surprised at the asking price given the condition.
No offense to the seller or the buyer, glad it went to a good home.

Re: SAAB 900T VDO Gauges
Btw, I like the VDO Vision Series gauges a lot better than the regular cockpit series due to the much better lighting. Are 8 auxiliary gauges too much? I don't think so. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa139/njames85/Build/Gauges/toppanel_zpsw7izk115.jpg http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa139/n...

Re: SAAB 900T VDO Gauges
Summit racing has VDO gauges too.
I've used egauges before but working with them on a return that was their issue left me unsatisfied with their service after I spent $250 with them.

Uhaul trailer hitch for c900
For sale, an aftermarket trailer hitch for the c900. I assume that it was manufactured by Curt and UHaul just stuck their own part number on it. Takes a 1.25" receiver (not included) Rust is superficial, just needs some cleaning up and painting. Asking $50 shipped in the lower 48 obo . http://i...

Re: T5 Wiring Harness Help
Working on a new harness and have one question. H33-4 Pin 23. What is the purpose of supplying +15 power to this lead? WIS says this leads to the ECU Pin 59 which is A/C In. Luke's diagram shows supplying +15 to this pin. It seems this ECU input exists to tell the ECU to adjust idle when the AC com...

Re: '90 Vert T5 Swap
I was able to run the 2.1 tps on a '85 throttle body (since my T5 c900 is an '85) using an adapter plate I made. The '85 throttle body has less ports than the later ones so there aren't any clearance issues. That really doesn't help you with your '90. Just an idea to think about. :dunno: http://i202...

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo
A bit off topic that this reminds me of a Saab story. We resorted the folklore of beating the pump and I shit you not, it spun with the hotwire. When I was a teenager my dad and I were on a 35 mile trip home in his '80 99. The fuel pump was seizing and every couple of miles it would stop running. My...

WTB (2) Exhaust valves for c900
I need (2) exhaust valves for my '85 c900. I'm rebuilding a spare cylinder head and two of the exhaust valves are suspect and I don't think they will clean up after hand lapping. The new ones that are available are aftermarket so I'd rather not go that route.
