Re: spotted in Seattle

I'd say 82 non turbo. I don't think 81 had the little Saab badge on hood above the fenders. 80 still had the flag mirrors. Great picture.

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread

acejed, sorry to hear about this trouble. Were any of the other two stolen 900s recovered? If so maybe you should investigate where and look for yours. Worth a shot. RadioFlyer, I think your friend's theory is flawed for two reasons. 1) People often behave irrationally. The thief may not be motivate...

Re: 900 Whaletail Spoiler - $750 Shipped

It seems that the mold or finish work quality on the SAS 99T front air dam has gone down. I have two and while they both needed some work to make them fit and look original, one was closer along. All that said, they are many times better then the original turbo front spoiler, which brakes if you sta...

Re: Hot Rod 99 Build

When it comes to removing undercoat and sound deadening I think the dry ice-isopropol and/or liquid nitrogen can't be beat by chemicals or heat. If I was going to reapply undercoat after making repairs I would just do the repairs, spot clean, seal the rust and then undercoat. Fully stripping a car I...

Re: Early 99 Parts

I have shipped Saab parts to Sweden, France, Israel, Netherlands, etc. No problem shipping to the UK.

The grille/head light surrounds have (unsurprisingly) a lot of interest! madwelshman you are the third person in line.

Let me know what else you are interested in.

Re: Hot Rod 99 Build

Good to know on the two row crank pulley. Thanks for the confirm. There was a lot of pitting all over the body and I was not happy with the film of undercoat left after several cleanings with nasty chemicals. So I decided it would be a good idea to abrasive blast the car. The question was what metho...

Re: Saab weld Porn

I agree about respecting bandsaws. I'm actually rebuilding a 12" Craftsman bench model from the 40s right now. I'm planing on running it with a DC motor with gear reducer and speed controller. I have a DC motor with reverse, speed control and 3 pulleys on a similar vintage Craftsman drilll pres...
