I have an 88 SPG for sale.
It needs mechanical work, Paint, and interior work.
It is probably one of the most rust free shells I have seen in a number of years.
I could probably patch the rust in an easy beer drinking weekend.
Email me direct for Pics.
I am in Eastern PA as well

Re: 900 Whaletail Spoiler - $750 Shipped
Wow! that is for a used one!
Not that I plan on selling it, but I wonder what my brand new, never installed whaletail would bring? The rubber still has a smooth shine, and the installation hardware, and glue is still sealed in the factory bag...

Re: Steel Diff Cover and 99 Turbo Stripes
Those stripes fit almost any Saab.
I specifically made them extra long so that they would fit all body styles.

Re: Where can I find info on this car (found on GRM)
This is one of my projects. It sat at a shop in Ct for a while, with very little progress. I brought it back to PA last fall, and it has sat in the corner of my shop since then, with very little progress to report. Work for me has been scarce, and money has been tight. Projects have stalled, and I a...

Re: 1978 Proposed Turbo Stripes
I agree that the production stripe kit was the best. I do kind of like this one http://saabrally.com/forums/download/file.php?id=4065&t=1 But in sort of a retro/nostalgic way. If I were buying a car at the time I'd probably think "no way!" This one is not bad, but some of the other on...

Re: 1978 Proposed Turbo Stripes
I have to disagree about how cool these concepts are.
The Turbo Stripe Kit that was finally decided upon was definitely the best choice.

Re: 1980 EMS on BAT Auctions
That's pretty standard fare for an auction.
Typically the seller pays a listing fee, and cough up a % for commission. There is generally a 10% buyers premium as well.
I did a little part time gig for a local auctioneer for a while.

Polyurethane foam is less reactive to solvents, and holds up better to polyester resins.
If you are using polystyrene foam, epoxy resins work well without melting the foam.

Re: Exhausts, cat converters and me
You could always cut off the bolt flanges, and replace them with a commercially available flange, that you weld on. Or just weld it to a length of pipe, and make a slip joint with a clamp. or just weld it solid to the pipes. http://www.saabrally.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2493&start=180

Removed the exhaust from the Hillclimb car, in an attempt to patch another crack...
The time has come to just replace it.

This one belongs to the one and only Kyle Hudson.
I have had the opportunity to drive it. Felt pretty good, decent overall shape.
