Re: The New Norman
Rust in the wind (I think it was them) has a great video that's like 45 minutes long where you are swapping positions a few times, looked like it was a blast but was somewhat stressful to watch

Re: The New Norman
Nice, your intercooler set up is very similar to ours, minus the fancy pipework, ours uses all stock junk yard parts from Saab NG 9-3 & V6 9-5's You are also running the same turbo I have on my hill climb car. We had planned on running a junk-yard Td0415T, however we never got our pipework toget...

Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -summer edit
Thought your brothers car was neat! Not many 3 speed autos over there... Most here died a while ago. My 1992 2.1 liter T5.5 /w TEO5 turbo really gets going alarmingly quick. Between the high compression of the 2.1, the TE05 and the T5 timing control it eliminates that moment most automatic classic 9...

Re: Early vs later 99 radiators
the turbo radiators have what is known as a "High Efficiency Copper Core" - that is the "finer fins" basically more surface area for the heat exchanger. A lot of people who have had them re-cored over the years have used the standard core, and are no longer good enough for a 99-t...

Re: Instrument cluster swap, now SRS and ABS Light
I jumped my 92 900 4 door after letting it sit for probably 2 months with a dead battery, and bam. SRS light. I know for a fact that there are no faults because as soon as you keep a charged battey in it and re-set the light, it stays out. On an unrelated note, I nearly got to use the SRS system in ...

Re: Instrument cluster swap, now SRS and ABS Light
First off, did your old cluster HAVE both bulbs? Second off, the SRS system is insane about faults. Once it sees a fault, you will always have the SRS light untill you re-set it with the tech 2 or Saab air-bag tool. These like to randomly come on if you do something like try to start the car with a ...

It was there this year as well, in 2015. If you thought it was bad on 07, you should see it now.

Re: Jefferson circuit 2015 SCCA track Trial
This was a great event as usual. I think if I had a little more time with red, I would have done better. Timing was funny with this (I corded a tire and was unable to keep running the SPG, after switching cars to Garys red car- as he mentioned) I could not beat the my times in the SPG with Garys red...

Re: Intermittent vibes...
Very likely the inner-drivers are packing it up. if your tires are balanced but there is a shimmy under power, that's almost always the issue. Question, when it's shaking, if you pop the clutch in (or put an auto in neutral) does the shaking stop? If it does, that's the for sure inner driver test.

Drove mine around... Ever since my "major overhaul" the 2010 Aero has been just peachy, coming up on 90,000 this week.

Re: Simeone Museum Trip
Hutch, do you know what Sort of racing group the Claude Hutching's SAAB 900 Car # 84 was running in ? I am interested because it looks like it could be a lemon's car, but the tires stick out way past the body. We were hassled a few weeks ago about our tires sticking out and wonder about the rules i...
