Re: '74 X7 Turbo rwd -street legal!

Looking forward to it Schwartz, See you there. Want anything neat from the US? I always have lots of luggage space coming over there and nothing on the way back. We'll probably randomly bump into eachother in the returbilen again...

Re: SAAB's At Lemons in New Jersey

once the boost was correct we had no further issues, however a physical connection on the TB to the 1st intake pipe might not be a bad idea.

Re: SAAB's At Lemons in New Jersey

I had a blast, already looking forward to the next one. We did lose a lot of time due to technical issues, but we did have a good bit of time on track too. Intercooler pipework kept popping off initially, (eact time that happened we lost probably 3 laps) and that was right near the beginning of the ...

Re: 1986 shifter/shifting issue

The plastic shifters do break from time to time, they are not a part that lasts forever.

Re: Finding good quality rebuilds

Yeah, caliper rebuilds are funny... I got a rear 88+ C-900 rear caliper from rock auto that appeared to have about 2/3 it's original mass due to blasting all the thick scaly rust off of the thing. I bet it was probably on rebuild number 2 or 3... I would not have picked that as a core to rebuild, th...

Re: Sell your welders, We've made it to Chinese aftermarket!

Paul had one on the race car, these have been out there for about a year now. Firstly, they need finishing work. The holes drilled in the log are about 1/2 the size as the diameter of the pipe they welded on. Also, "welding" is a loose term. There was at least one weld that was incomplete....

Re: Wanted: Trans Mount Bracket for 1991 900

I was about to take an old B&W type 37 off to the scrap yard when I noticed it still had a good front bracket on it and delayed ;) Good thing I guess. Since it went flat rate priority, it's also coming with a good shape roundy front motor mount on it too.

Re: Rear Shocks?

Bilstein HD's are a good shock for a road-use 900. They are a bit hard riding and in my opinion don't really improve handling over the standard sachs-boge - fairly recently I put 4 brand new OE shocks in my 93 900-t automatic. Ride is nice, not as firm as the Bilsteins, but I think it handles just a...

I still have one of Jon's headers, works nice. I did have to get the flange resurfaced about a year about so far so good.
