Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread
The set I have fit 79-86 900.The part number on the bag is 7874340. They are just like the ones pictured in the e-bay ad. They are black on black, no white letering. Perhaps Luke will chime in , as he may have some nice flaps for 99's

Re: early crush sleeves
I'll take full credit for those existing :P I made those spacers for the last few early gearboxes I rebuilt and I mentioned it to Jordan, who mentioned it to Eeuroparts and then they did a batch of them. I'm sure my royalty check is in the mail ;) Luke, What grade steel did you use? did you use any...

Re: gaskets/seals 2.0 (1973)
Your 73 2.0 litre motor is a "B " motor. Front and rear oil seals are the same up to 93 and newer. I really suspect you find gaskets from Eeuroparts .com or FCP. I would worry more about finding water pumps or parts thereof. I think that is the scarce stuff . I am not sure about timing cha...

Was that a european version of an auto salvage yard? Thats the cleanest storage operation I have ever seen.
And yes those 99's were to die for. Really quality cars.

After seeing the complexity in your project here, It is no wonder that you enjoy fooling around with old SAAB's. Old SAABS look so simple , when you compare to that crazy thing you guys are building.
Wonderful job !!!!

I really like that rear wing on the Sonett. I like that blue accent stripe also. Maybe when we get all our other projects done , we can work on my Sonett.
Perhaps we should autoX the car one time so you can get the feel of one?

Of course you and the SAAB will make it. Think Positive
Of course you should carry lots of money and credit cards too!
That's part of being prepared.
Wsh I was going to Trollhattan. Have a great time for all of us that can't go and take looks of pictures to post.

Really good looking car. Really like the wheels. :yay: I think that was the car on my but all the way to Connecticut on I-95 and I-91yesterday.Congrats on moving on to the next step. Did you and Jordan set a target finish date yet. We could pencil in the return trip to pickup the car on our calendars.

Yes , you should get the front T/S lenses and housings. There is a guy on this site looking for a real nice LF lense. I'm assuming the 79 front lense fits the 78 99's. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway the man in need posts under firedome.

Re: 63 Bullnose Rally Project
The car looks great in the photo. You should be proud for what you accomplished.
I miss all the 2 strokes I had owned way back. They weren't the fastest, but they always seemed well balanced in handling. And I always loved handbrake turns.
Keep up the good work and post more photos.
