Unfortunately life has been getting in the way. I moved across the country a few months ago.
I decided to bite the bullet and had it shipped to California. It should be here this week.

Re: Metal Working Tools
I have seen a few pop up on Craigslist but mostly the massive impossible to move pieces. I had another person recommend nibblers, I will look into them as a stop gap.

Re: Metal Working Tools
I'll keep my eyes out on craigslist. I wonder what a local shop would cost to do the cuts in the interim.

Metal Working Tools
Can someone recommend a metal shear and brake that is budget friendly? It is a pain to use my 5" depth bandsaw and belt sander to cut sheet metal. I'd prefer made in the USA, but its not a deal breaker. No luck on CL so far.

Re: Billet Aluminum Coolant Reservoir Inlet/Outlet
One last question. Does the cap need to be "radiator style", where if over pressurized it lets out air? Or can I get away with a non vented cap? I know that the stock cap has a check valve that opens around 14 psi I think.
Great tips everyone thank you.

What is a good thickness for the aluminum? I have seen universal tanks up to .100" thickness.

Billet Aluminum Coolant Reservoir Inlet/Outlet
Does anyone have a source for some billet aluminum inlet/outlet ports for a c900 coolant reservoir? I need two sizes, which I believe are 1/4" and 7/8".

Re: 93' Road Racer Build
Glad to help. Learning a skill is a constant question. You should never stop asking. Nice fit up on the joints. From your pictures it looks like it is not cheated and no gaps post tack. How did you like the back purge? I spent a lot of time on the fitment. I read all the Burns articles and followed...

Re: 93' Road Racer Build
Finally started making some progress this weekend on the exhaust. I am pretty happy with how the downpipe turned out. Thanks to Dennis and Drew for answering all my questions and putting up with my constant buggering. Mocking up the downpipe https://farm1.staticflickr.com/364/18542771801_4cf5e5c86f_...
