The difference that I know about is that they changed the valve (stem) in the t7 heads to be thinner. We had a discussion about it in some other thread. IIRC, all viggens 99+ are t7 all other 9-3s are t5 until 2000 and all 9-5s are t7. well am looking at the valve at the intake port and it is much ...

I had a chance to see 2007 9.5 2.3T under the hood and all I can say the cylinder head did not change at all externaly at least. I wonder if it is the same as older heads.

I bought a 1999 9.3 engine and I hear that is still T5, but head is the same as 2002 9.5 when I compared them.

Some people have good luck with the 900 transmissions, but there are also plenty of people (like myself) who have just about lost count of how many C-900 transmissions they have broken and had to replace. Granted, I do drive 30K miles or more a year and have for quite a while, mostly in 190...

I only run 10 psi for now and I can't get enough of driving my saab, it is so much fone driving it with some good power. I plan on installing water injection and boosting ...

Succes, I pulled and resealed the used rack from my car. I made few special tools according to the Saab factory manual and the thing went very easy. Now am an expert in rack rebuilding. I installed the rack today PITA and test drove it and no leaks the fluid stays at the same level. I found the seal...

Rebuilt racks are better than original because rebuilders bore out the rack housing and insert a steel sleeve. The original aluminum surface goes bad. . you are wrong, 1987+ C900 racks have steel spool valve housing so there is no need to sleeve it. The racks that are run without boots for too long...

you could just put in a rebuilt rack...they are about $120...or so...maybe more...its been a while since I needed one. I don't trust rebuilt racks, they don't do good job. I just found the rack seal kit and am ordering two. GATES 348980 Rack and Pinion Seal Kit $ 19.12 $ 0.00 2 $ 38.24 Shipping $ 1...

I had found out that C900 has a problem with those U joints that connects to the rack and pinion, they tend to develop some play and rust. My hydraulic rack is leaking bad now. I can't find another rebuilt kit so I don't know what to do.
