Re: TE05 5bolt patern to 3" Vband

Very true. I have one of the ATP 3 on a car and it is definitely a nice flowing setup. Since the mitsu turbos don't have the wastegate arm in that part of the housing, perhaps an adapter plate would be all that is needed from one of the ones that you have shown in your link.

Re: TE05 5bolt patern to 3" Vband

It's fairly unique 5 bolt design. In the past I've welded a v-band flange directly to the stock cast piece. It tends to crack over time (at least racing it) , but it does work. I've been thinking about machining an adapter as well, but it would probably be more of a winter project. If you're interes...

Re: Direct ignition cassette options

Just buy the DIC, they last for a long time. The engine management system uses the DIC for knock & combustion detection, so it is fairly specialized. The Trionic 8 cars use individual coil packs with this functionality, but the system is different enough that they would not be cross compatible w...

Re: Upgrade inner driver cups

Are you re-fitting an o-ring or are you just going to weld them for grease retention?

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202

Dennis, can you go into some of the theory/math behind the design? I just saw an interesting video on how Porsche designs their turbocharged intake manifolds. Their primary function is to cool the intake charge through expansion and not necessarily for pulse flow characteristics. I guess it is net p...

Re: Best oil for a SAAB dog box

If it is a dogbox without brass synchros you can use a GL-5 oil. I used Redline Shockproof. The regular is pretty heavy , you can use that or the lightweight depending on your temperature and intended usage.

Wow , Welding aluminum like that is not in my skillset! But yes, I'm happy to help if I can, cool project! Did you see the regulator/rail setup I made for the 8v? I was adapting those for 16v as well. Might also be a nice addition! https://scontent.fbed1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/65386788_93562750678...

Re: Wilwood Brake Q., 120-6811 v. 120-6816

Well I'm pretty positive they would work with 16"s but 15"s are in question. The radial mount calipers are slightly slimmer, I don't think the lug mount ones would fit 15s for sure unless you had a pretty good size offset. But when they are ready I'll keep you posted. Squaring away new pro...

Re: Wilwood Brake Q., 120-6811 v. 120-6816

You can play around with pad compound in the rears to keep them from locking up. I think a basic street pad is what i ended up with with the stock calipers on the rear. I was making two custom rotor hats that would take the very common 11 and 11.75” rotors. It would be great if you could squeeze an ...

Re: Wilwood Brake Q., 120-6811 v. 120-6816

Hi John! I would go with the smaller bore, that is what I run with the stock rears. Are these for the older bolt pattern hubs? I have something in the works for the new radial mount caliper with dust seals, and some fancy rotors. Not sure if your looking for cheap street application or what

Yeah, for flat nose cars the long tail pipe looks fine, but slant nose cars it is like 3in too long.
