Re: old style fuel sender/ tank
I took the lift pump and canister out, used a pickup screen and extended that to the bottom of the tank. I intend on never running under a half tank so I think ill be ok as far as airation due to fuel slosh. I feel like eliminating failure points is more important In my situation. car runs fine, ill...

Re: old style fuel sender/ tank
alright, I figured out the setup myself. bunch of extra parts in the bottom of the tank was throwing me off. I am assuming that thing with the 2 extra wires on the sender is a lift pump? would that cause a starvation of fuel occasionally if it ceases to work? and can I just eliminate it and run a pi...

old style fuel sender/ tank
one of my race cars the previous owner swapped in a old style fuel tank and sender assembly. car is a '92 but I think the tank is from a cis car? it has the vertical aluminum pump and the rubber bootie holding it in. been having some random power loss issues and I figured I would inspect the pump an...

Re: Setting up a C900 for the Track
automatic transmission clutch plates work really well to shim those 5" springs. really fine adjustments and they stack nicely. I think most of mine came from ford explorers, but any trans shop probably has a bunch they are throwing out. ive always run 0 to -1/8" toe in the front and 0 to +...

Re: circle track 2.1
as of recent I've gotten back to this project. less racing this year, more building stuff. my chassis is mostly done at this point, waiting on this motor. right now I have a 2.1 apart for a re-ring and hone. all stock parts in the bottom end. timing cover is modified for the t5 head. b212 intake man...

Re: standalone rev limiters and T5
I don't currently own one. on my carbureted vehicles I just use an MSD 6al which uses resistance chips for limiter adjustment, but that obviously wont work in this situation. standalone limiters can be had for about 150 bucks, but there are a few different types. I would think one designed for coil ...

Re: standalone rev limiters and T5
I get it, I am just saying that ive hardwired the fuel pump to ignition power to try an defeat the LH limiter, and it still exists. under free rev I would think rpms would continue to increase for a few milliseconds after the fuel pump is shut off due to residual pressure in the rail, similar to a c...

Re: standalone rev limiters and T5
it isn't for a performance benefit, it's to pass tech. :fuckyou: tech is checking limiters to ensure it's factory, so I am looking for something switchable. I think I can use one of the aftermarket units being that there is an input wire to each individual coil. on the LH topic, I am a bit unsure ho...

standalone rev limiters and T5
I don't suppose anyone has done this, but I am looking into if it is possible to run an adjustable external rev limiter in conjunction with T5. most devices are for use with traditional distributor/ coil systems but some are available to be used with coil on plug. I guess my question is as to what e...

Re: WTB t5 crank trigger
urgent, no. just would like to do it soonish. whenever you have time to check is fine. that's actually the setup I am using on my other car now and it works fine.
