Love the car, hope you can make it competitive, or at least have a good time trying. Snagged this photo off the web some years back, just cuz:

June 2-3: No Alibi 2-Day TSD Rally (Washington State)
Arguably the best gravel TSD in the northwest, No Alibi returns to Eastern Washington June 2-3 for another weekend of challenging driving, beautiful scenery, and an all-around great time hanging out with a bunch of car and/or math freaks. Here's what the Rallymaster says: No Alibi 2012 is a 500-mile...

Re: 84 900 E/F Prepared Notchback
So it generally just looks pretty? That's what it looks like. The turbo'd Honda Civic guys making many hundreds of horses use them but it doesn't seem to be worth it at the power levels most c900s are at. I have read that you can take a small hit in low-end Tq with the equal-length stuff, too. The ...

Re: 84 900 E/F Prepared Notchback
Save the money for now and run the stock Saab turbo manifold. Make a nice large radius turbo elbow/down pipe and that will net you a decent power improvement. Also see what you can do on the intake side to reduce the number of bends and increase the turbo tubing size. +1. I haven't seen dyno result...

Re: Decent black 99T spotted today
Well, it's Seattle, so likely some numbnut rear-ended the guy, and an actual 99 hatch was tough to come by. (I don't like the vent covers, though.)

Re: A few questions
I think it's worth defining some common c900-related body style terms here. Most people use the following terms to describe the various bodies: 2-door, a.k.a. notchback = two doors, one trunk (not a hatchback, and only a couple thousand in the States, 85-86): http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/media/i...

Molds for Fiberglass / Carbon Fiber c900 Hood (free?)
Someone pick these up: http://saabnet.com/tsn/bb/900/index.html?bID=424239 OK, so this is about the last chance for us C900 guys to save the Kevin Yankton carbon fiber molds for the hood and maybe some other things. The molds are located in Las Vegas, NV and if there is anyone that wants them, then ...

Anyone ever have problems w/ IPS? http://www.importpartsspec.com pay no attention to the online catalog. Just call Andy or Rick john I have used them in the past. Re: 1987 900S Track Car
I believe that goes in the bottom of the ignition. When you put the key into the tumbler, it presses on that metal piece pictured above, which, in turn, moves down, presses against a small stamped steel piece (kind of like a seewaw, actually), which moves and actuates a switch for the buzzer.

I believe that 99 belongs to a guy who used to club rally with Doug S. @ SW (name escapes me atm). My understanding is that he has since moved out of state.

Re: 85 900 Notchback arrives in Vermont
I have fixed a couple 900 odos by removing one of the pot metal gears, crimping the collar and re-fitting (it's a press-fit gear that, over time, starts to slip). The only gotcha is you want to be sure to tape all the numbers together well or they won't align right when you re-install. http://www.pe...

Re: A few questions
I recently looked at two 86 Turbos in the junkyard, and both had vented rotors. (Non-vented on my 86 S.) Re: 88+ brakes. For track, you can get more thermal mass by running 9000 rotors (you'll need to grind the pads down a bit to get them to fit). In my experience (did this on my 86), 9000 brake swa...

I thought I'd saved pics of the notchback, but...no.
