Re: WTB 99 twin headlight

Hi Steve

I am still happy to buy any of these items that you still have available - as long as you don't mind dealing with an Aussie !!

(Think of us as Brit's in a better climate !)

Thanks

Re: teardown questions

A 5spd CAN be a direct bolt-in within no machining or cutting given the right parts, you'd need the front chain cover from a 1980 99 4spd. There is a "hump" on the bottom of the casting that is different that the 5 spd needs (see jordan pic below, the small protruding half moon at the ver...

Re: FS Run 2 Crank Position Sensor Kits

My sensor kit showed up today and I'm impressed. Not only do the parts look good, but the packaging looked very convincing. What drove it over the top was the 9 pages of illustrated instructions. Many thanks! If anyone else plans to do a conversion like this, I recommend this kit. +1 Thanks Dennis ...

Re: Daily Driver #2 88 SPG

Hi Luke

Excellent work (as always)

Have you ever considered moving to the warmer climes of Australia? :australia:
My Saabs would benefit greatly from your expertise

I did seriously consider for a moment sending my gearboxes to the US for you to maintain....

Re: Wanted: 99 "turbo" badges

Hi RadioFlyer Sorry, I cannot help. I only just have enough side and rear badges for the number of cars that I have. I have even gone as far as (trying to) start up a group buy for the front grille turbo badge as I have never been able to source one (actually I need three!!) http://www.saabrally.com...

Re: Reproducing 99 Turbo Stripe Kit

Hi SwedeSport I can have the 99 Turbo kits ready pretty quickly. Ill make them available in a few standard colors. But you will be able to order them in custom colors for a little more bread. You will be able to choose between having the SAAB Turbo lettering or not. 2 sets in white and 1 set in blac...

Re: The 99 Holy Fucking Grail

To refine nutcase's comments - (mostly) rust free 3 door / 5 door rear tailgates - including the rear spoiler which is (slightly) different to the later 900 ones :berserk: The chrome trim for the front and rear bumpers with the rubber strip insert (and the bumper covers here in Aus - damn the sun). ...

Wow John - that is a fast course - I only counted two gear changes once you were underway

However I think you may need power steering next ;)

Well Done

Re: SHIT!!!

While working on the rally bike it tipped over on me and I couldn't catch it. Luckily my spare 99 windshield broke its fall. And I was just looking at it earlier tonight thinking I should just give it to luke for the rally cars. Better than a wrist or an ankle  especially with the upcomin...
