Re: wanted complete set of 99 turbo wheel lug nuts.

I was hoping to get some NOS ones or ones in really good shape. The one's I have 50% are decent and then the others aren't.

Re: Strongest Gearbox Possible

I would have to know how the set is upgraded? What would be the base line gear set specs, based on pre 89" or post 89" layshaft/cluster, wider gears, etc. The 89 on layshaft gear with the inner bearing and seperate race is far superior to the earlier design with the bearing running directl...

Re: Anybody interested in carbon fiber hood/ hatch?

I'm planning on rounding up a few of the plastic pieces from Sweden; hood, trunk lid and all 4 fenders. Let me know who wants what and we'll split shipping costs. His name is Eric and he does kevlar too, shoot him an email for prices not listed on the website. http://www.plastskarmar.se/news.php We...

Re: Anybody interested in carbon fiber hood/ hatch?

Okay, since everyone is talking to keep the price down. I just bought one for my Audi A4 Q and it was 683.00 delivered this included hood pins. The A4 hood is massive and has the fancy front grill insert. When I called them they took the order and said it would be 4-6 weeks for delivery since they a...

Anybody interested in carbon fiber hood/ hatch?

I am in the process of getting some price together on a production run of carbon fiber hoods and trunks/hatches for the 900/99 series SAABS.

This is more of a feeler to see if there is enough demand.

I need to get pictures to the Composite guys to get a better estimate.

Re: T5/T7 head questions (originally posted in wanted)

Remember that you want even flow with the manifolds attached! UH yah and is the reason I started on this path. Saab changed their intake manifold design to help even air flow to all cylinders thats why the flat plenum chamber on the later styles. Air enters at 90 degrees, smacks into flat plate, cr...

Re: T5/T7 head questions (originally posted in wanted)

Stellite valve seats don't disappear under "3 angle" grinding they disappear when too thin to do their job. Sodium filled valves are expensive to make and are used not to make specs sound good but where heat problems are being experienced, perhaps through a change in head design. One of t...

Re: Strongest Gearbox Possible

Or just forget about all this horsepower and run NA 8valve engines. I should probably knock wood now that Im posting this, but I beat my 8v like a Redheaded stepchild and have never had a trans problem. Its fun and quick but doesnt have enough power to break a trans. Don't take this the wrong way, ...

Re: Strongest Gearbox Possible

I think there is a misunderstanding of what this thread was started for. It isn't just for the case which the gears go in. It's for the gear set inside which has a much higher failure rate than the case itself. The ideal case would only be a tad thicker material wise with heavier ribbing to stabiliz...
