Re: Frankensaab , The '78 99L
I built two new additions to my T5 harness and now have a working speedo and my car doesn't stall when I come to a stop. I installed a 9000 speed sensor on my 900 trans and ran the wires right where the old cable would have been. I cut up a 9000 speedo to fit the 99 pod. I wasn't sure where to get +...

PM Sent.
I guess I sold my old set to MattJordan almost 10 years ago, back when I still ran 'B' motors.

Re: '77 99 GL 5DR
I have one of those stashed away as well.
It will likely end up in my '78 GLE 5-door. Same Coral White as your '77.

Wanted: 99/900 Rear Brake Caliper Adapters
I bought one of the sets Luke made many years ago. I sold mine thinking I wouldn't need them but now I do.
Anybody have a set they decided not to use?

Re: SPG having a moment
I'm still kinda bummed that I've sold my SPG's.
I may have a chance to get the 86 back as a buddy just acquired it as part of a trade.
Problem is, he knows what they are worth these days.

Re: Frankensaab , The '78 99L
Light weight I hope! The rods are the 2RZ rods I got from Eagle. You can see the second cut I had to make to the rod journal to make the SAAB bearings fit. The pistons are Race-Tecs I had made for the project. They incorporate the .5mm difference in rod length from the Eagles and are lighter than fa...

Re: 9000 Speedometer pinouts?
Thanks Seth! Interesting website. That confirms what I read here. I'll tear into it next when I'm back in town and let you know if it works out. I know I started on this several years ago when I first started my T5.2, but abandoned it when the 9000 speedo wouldn't fit in the 99 location. Now, with O...

Re: 9000 Speedometer pinouts?
Thanks Seth. That didn't really help. The best I found so far was the discussion somewhere here (Hutch? Luke?) that said that the top two isolated pins are the inputs, then its positive to the top pin, output to T5 on the center pin and ground to the bottom pin. I have a 9000 speedo to play with, bu...

9000 Speedometer pinouts?
Does anyone have them?
I'm trying to get speed into my T5/OBDII.
I have the sender and speedo, but I don't have the wiring diagram for the speedo.

Re: Frankensaab , The '78 99L
All done. I fabbed up a new turbo outlet pipe this week and have been driving it a bit. Engine is running great and all the weight savings are really noticeable. Transmission is working great after replacing the 3rd gear synchro spring. I've got the Mitsu turbo on it right now, but that won't last. ...

Re: Frankensaab , The '78 99L
Well, it's been a year and Frank if finally back up and running! I bought a new T5 harness and flywheel from Jordan and should have it out for a test drive this weekend. There is a test-n-tune at the local drag strip in a month, so I'd like to be there for that. Shooting for 12.39 @ 110, but we'll s...
