Re: 78 Turbo Refresh

I have been running 2+ with 0 toe on my tan 86 for years. Never noticed any odd wear on my tires.

Drove one car with the toe out of whack for about 100 miles and noticed it...

Re: BMR rallyX pics

Adrian,

Yep... that's mine. Since I stuffed it at the Pagoda a few years back, I have been slowly working on refreshing the body/paint/graphics.

Planning to keep the Dolomite Sand, but change the two tone color, along with the pinstripe color.

Re: BMR rallyX pics

I chucked a few studs. Also chewed up the tread blocks a bit. Really happy with the way those Winterforce tires are working though. I probably would have been within the top ten if I had not high centered the skidplate in the plow berm on the first run. Went a bit wide, and got the outside front tir...

Re: 86 900 Street / Track Project

I got the car back together after the rack swap. Everything seems to be functioning properly, and with Gary's help I managed to get the steering alignment setup properly. I did have trouble finding a belt for the PS pump, but after some research found that a 46.5 inch belt would work. On the test dr...

Re: 86 900 Street / Track Project

Since Weatherly I have run a few autocrosses with the car, as well as several RallyX events. I managed to bring home the top spot at the last Kempton event. My first FTD and overall event win. Preparing for next weekends NEDIV series event at Kempton. Cracked the header AGAIN... gotta patch that bac...

Re: 86 900 Street / Track Project

Carnage from Weatherly.

Sourced a cradle out of a spare head, found a lifter, deburred the cam, and threw it back together.

Re: 94 9K "Project Green Aero"

The parts car is through being processed.

Need to clean up the parts piles lying around the garage, and start separating and cleaning the bits that will make their way into the Green Aero.

Re: Tow Rig / Shop Truck

I got a ton of money wrapped up in getting this thing ready to plow, and now we have no snow, less than 8 inches of snow so far this year. I had to put a pump drive motor on the plow setup last week. The Throttle Position Sensor is not working properly, so I need to swap that out. I'm also getting a...

Re: 89T Daily Beater Project

I recently showed the car a little more love. I replaced the slipping, squealing harmonic balancer, well, Gary tackled that while I mounted some new Altimax Arctics on my winter wheels. The heater valve finally gave up and flooded my footwell. So I broke down and pulled the dash apart. While it was ...

Re: 84 900 F Prepared Notchback

Cut down the chassis tabs as well as removed the axle mount plate from the hat. Marked the bottom of the hat for the positioning of the tabs. I set the tab offset to be 1/8" off center. This will replicate the way the factory perch causes the spring to bow toward the chassis, instead of the tir...

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread

This was once my car, I sold it to the current owner in about 2010. I had Fondmetal 5 Spoke wheels on it, and installed the rear décor panel, as well as the smoked chrome grill and license plate frame. I also did the "dual rear fog light mod" It's missing the lip spoiler, and appears to ha...

Re: 200+ MPH in a C900?

Looks like the only "aero mods" were removal of side mirrors, and wipers.

Re: 200+ MPH in a C900?

It is probably more likely that I will have an opportunity to enter one of my existing cars in a speed trial type event. I highly doubt that I'll ever get around to building a car specific to the 200 mph goal. The fastest I have ever been in a car was about 165. That was in a Porsche 911 Twin Turbo....
