Re: PARTS WANTED FOR 1979 99GL

lenses were clear from 77 on

Did 79's have 900 bumpers? or not until '80? would be a lot easier to find 900 ones.

Re: For Sale - 1979 Saab GLE

the only time i'm glad my rally car is a coupe is when i'm looking at pictures of it :)

could you imagine how nice it would be to rally a 5 door? Could put a mini bar where the back seat used to go and still have room for helmets

Re: For Sale - 1979 Saab GLE

this is a 1,000 car if it was running over here. you can walk down the street in seattle and find the same story. 99's are getting scarcer, but they are not a gold mine. saab's don't retain value. if you want money for this car, you need to find some quirky software engineer or something. A club mem...

Re: FS: Saab 99 steel rims

Not the ones I'm looking for, I would like to score a set of the ones with the six squared holes. Maybe they were early 900 and not 99? Ah so your jealous of my wheels? ;) They're 900 wheels. And they're bad ass. And you can hammer dents back, and drive on them longer with no tire. I'm a huge fan.

Re: For Sale: Poly Steering Rack bushings for Saab 99

Make me a set! Quinn, uppers are the same as 900 and I'm almost 100% sure the lowers are too. The only difference is the lowers use a different housing. I'm using some Powerflex uppers in my '80 99 and want to put some lowers in at some point too. I'm concerned the difference in the housing on the ...

Re: FREE: 1974 B Engine Eriksson Head

if you guys are still arguing about who gets the cylinder head, i suppose i should say i'll take it, since i'm still racing on a b-engine. Is shipping an issue? I won't be able to pick it up in person ;)

Re: Quick 96

he owns a tire shop and keeps cars inside/outside the building. When I bought my spring green 99 from him a few years back, he had the rally car, a rally car he was building for some one else, a 95, and the road racing 96 (under construction). Haven't been there since. it's A N T tire in portland if...

Re: For Sale: Poly Steering Rack bushings for Saab 99

Jordan, got some more of these ready to go? I need a set. Unrelated, but does anyone know where I can get a-arm bushings? Are the ones for the upper's the same as 900's? I know the bottom ones are different, and the bushings we picked up at SDCC look pretty chinsey and only are wide enough for one b...

Re: Quick 96

This is not the same car. Garth built this one, and for the first few years it didn't have any of the rally reinforcements and he was at about 70 hp. not sure if he has a different engine yet or not, JVL was supposedly building him one. He's a very good driver, and stays out of trouble. He usually d...

Re: '71 Shell Prep updates

I'll email him, i dont have any pictures he's got a smaller manifold i believe and it's got some weird name he's pretty happy with the setup, but i'm not too sure about carbs myself, and i remain unconvinced. the one thing i like is how it cleans up the engine bay, but a modern fuel injection would ...

are you a wood screw snob now, jeff?

tell me, what would be the proper fastener to attach fuel injectors to a piece of wood on a turbocharged vehicle? :P

that shit's center cut pine, too

Sometimes I think i've spent my whole life practicing for service.

Re: Steel Rear Diff Covers --- accepting orders now

I thought unless you asked you only got one on the cover. But if you have two and think this is just silly, you could leave it plugged. Either way, your dumping colder fluid into hot fluid constantly so i don't really see a concern over where you are returning it. everything should be getting thorou...
