Re: Bosch CIS injector cleaner finds new home...
sounds like you're doing things the right way, and that's good :) Sometimes, I enjoy a quick fix. I just unhid my old 16v turbo CIS car on car domain if anyone wants to check it out. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2414749 I sold it to my friend so he can make a rally car out of it. Like most rally ca...

Re: Bosch CIS injector cleaner finds new home...
this post has me baffled.
I thought it was standard procedure to just double up the rubber injector gasket thingies to solve the length issue. and I thought any air nozzle was an injector cleaner.
is this not the case??

Re: whats wrong with this roll cage?
I should be able to get it pretty close. The back end is the fucked up part. I should be able to re-use my gasket but i really don't want to take the time to clean the old silicone out of the gasket where it mates to the body. I'll probably just add more silicone and slap it on there. Ha. Again, hav...

Re: whats wrong with this roll cage?
While the roof has been off, I replaced the V-brace member that goes over my head with one that is bent up an inch or two. Other than that, I'm not planning anything. My next event is March 5th (ish) and I do not by any stretch of the imagination have more time to mess around with the cage. I guess ...

Re: whats wrong with this roll cage?
strongest cage the world has ever seen that's what's wrong with it we mis-interpreted the rules :) hard to get in and out of. I saw a cage that failed (i think on this forum?) about where my reinforcing bar lands on the side hoops. i take comfort in that :) the only problem with my cage is that I do...

Re: notchback rear glass
Ha. As fun as it would be to use a hammer, I can remove the rear glass from a non-hatch car by myself faster than anyone could smash it and vacuum it up. I could probably still win if you wanted to save the gasket, but cutting the gasket with a box knife shaves off a few minutes. Once you get one si...

Re: Some sweet Dakar rally pics
I think in dakar, everyone can be a badass, until you roll or get stuck.
I remember a video where a truck came over a dune launch like that and landed on a bike. No scene ever summed up dakar better for me than that one. the truck had no idea, of course.

Re: Need Bosch Computer
uhm. if no one can find this for you (delorean) a last-ditch effort would be to call scanwest. 1 888 90 turbo. they ship parts pretty regularly and i always see 900's getting parted out there. they also may have some ideas on who else to call.

Re: works mobile
I hear him about girlfriends breaking, but i have given up on street car projects and just drive whatever piece of junk is handy. :D I don't mind driving $100 99's or 900's anyway. and it allows me to focus my efforts and cash on the rally car. I'm a full time student living on my own and I'm on a f...

Re: Guess what showed up in our shop.....
funny, i remember a certain group of assholes chewing my head off for suggesting something just slightly more preposterous about a year or two ago :fuckyou: Hope it works well, I can't wait to see the dyno sheet and also the scoring sheet with how many subarus the car finishes in front of in a non-t...

Re: 1st SAAB rally car in Greece. ..........I hope
So i can do 65 or so in 2nd gear in my rally car with a 900 turbo 5 speed from 1983, is that probably the far right one on your chart? I'm estimating about 7100 rpm's at this speed but I don't have the tach wired up
