Re: Building a AutoX SPG.
I wonder why the silver car is using super aeros those things are freaking heavy.... X'ing as in switching? :dunno: I'm not sure what you mean. You take the left front lower control arm bushing and holder and install it on the right rear lower control arm. Also the right front to the left rear. Ted...

Re: Building a AutoX SPG.
For more forward bite and less tire smoke try "X"ing the front lower control arm bushings. This will add more caster to the car and inprove forward bite. Front dive will increase also so stronger front springs will help with the dive under braking. Ted I would like to hear more about this...

Re: Hatchback is back?
I cant see the hatch back behind the red X http://www.motorauthority.com/content/images/2/0/2010_saab_9_5_spy_shots_january_main630-0123.jpg This does look like a hatch though. I don't know why SAAB ever dropped the hatch backs, The 5 door hatch is the most useful body style ever. I hope that they a...

Re: So Leanne's car died...
I glad that you solved the problem. My wifes 9000 has had 2 fuel pump failures, both with full fuel tanks :-( This grassroots worked for me as a temp fix http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/tech-tips/37/ I hammered and reversed polarity, It was enough to get it home and burn off enough fuel to make the...

FWIW, a damaged rh side motor mount caused a shifting problem on one of my past c900s.

Re: icerace 900 notchback
from what Stephen said, it sounds like you could be back in buisness with this thing with just an engine/gear box, fuel cell, and Q/R steering wheel. It would be a ringer for the GRM $2009 challenge too.

Re: Strongest Gearbox Possible
I am not an engineer, and I have a headache from reading this thread in one sitting. I think that I understand most of it though! I have a question about the straight cut gears that are being referenced here. By straight cut gears are you meaning only gears that have teeth parallel to the shaft that...

Re: WTB: Beefy Skid Plates
I was talking to a friend who runs a shop here in Keene, NH. He is into SAABs and actually keeps a small stock of C900 S&R-esque skid plates on hand. I think he had one or two in stock a few weeks ago and gets them built in a small run of two to four when he runs out. If anyone wants one, let m...

Re: icerace 900 notchback
seriously, somebody please buy this so that I can't. If I had towing ability I would have played hookie from work today to go get it, regardless of the fact that I would have no place to put it when I got back home. I know Claude's older son, and I talked to him about the car today and he just put f...
