Interesting Wilwood issue

So, doing my post race inspection of the 99, I found this: http://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Gh2mq9jRAag/VAkRPlzw0gI/AAAAAAAAIZ4/CTSjcKqMXb0/w415-h553-no/IMG_20140904_212444.jpg Looks like the sleeve that the long allen bolt goes through (seems like it's called a bridge bolt?) came in contact with t...

I think I'd need a bigger fuel cell.

Re: RadioFlyer's 1980 900T

They probably aren't a 15 offset, that would likely poke out quite a lot more, I would think it's more like 25-30. Mine have all those same casting marks, but rather than having numbers stamped for the width and offset they're just blank. I'm guessing there was a custom order at some point where the...

Re: RadioFlyer's 1980 900T

IIRC those are the same wheels that I have, they don't spec the offset on mine, but they are 6.5" wide, probably should try to get a measurement of the offset at some point because they really do fit the car nicely. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-L6yKG_2fkDI/U7NADGV-4nI/AAAAAAAAHL4/v5Iymh88...

Re: Pagoda Hill climb Reading PA June 28-29

Yes, great weekend, the 99 did well for its first run out, but I was way down on power, suspect due to not enough intercooling, and had a bit of a mechanical issue that became obvious on sunday. Seems that I forgot to tighten, or didnt sufficiently tighten the crank pulley bolt, which eventually bac...

Re: 75 99 ITB racer

Yeah, gripper seems to work. Need to figure out a different wastegate actuator I think, this one seems to be set up for like 30psi, maxes out the guage at 1.5bar and then hits fuel cut :-O . Hopefully we'll be at it all weekend if you want to stop by, I don't want to leave too much to do next week i...

Re: 75 99 ITB racer

So, long time since an update here, things have happened, the car rolls, the engine is in, it more or less fits. The new goal is to be running by the Pagoda hillclimb, we'll see if that happens or not. But in other interesting news, I got an email yesterday from a guy that knew the previous owner an...

Re: How much rust is too much?

It doesn't really look like theres enough stable metal around the rust to even make an effective repair. You'd end up having to probably replace basically the whole inner fender structure with a piece from a donor car, or lots of weird custom pieces like SwedeSport's car, but worse. I've never actua...
