Re: Todays Megasquirt install on 86 900-S using Pauls adapter
Awright, got this thing working on my desk, took about 2 days of honest work to do all the soldering. Ive got MSII w/v3 pcb and loaded msII 2.888, also have the new JAW wideband built. got a second display board for EGT (this thing is a wicked deal if anyone wants a wideband/egt, it'll log boost, rp...

no more saab?!
well I for one would be a least a little happy to see the big three go bye bye (or at least pull their heads out of their asses a litl'), but did you guys see this? http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/03/business/03auto.html?_r=1&ref=us To make its case for the loans, G.M. said it would make top-to-b...

Re: Front Suspension Shims
Yeah, i mean 1.5 to 2 positive, wasnt sure what the convention meant... I havent made sure the car is level yet, but i checked it on a few different surfaces and both wheels seem to be in that range, but i will definitely do it properly before i mess with anything. It sits at least an inch high, but...

Re: Front Suspension Shims
So got one of those gauges, the long one. Havent gotten all scientific with making sure the car is flat etc. but preliminary results indicate that the are 1.5-2 deg. in the wrong direction, thinking i need to get some height out of those springs before i get really involved. Is it true as the travel...

Re: Front Suspension Shims
Guess its alignment time, i got it with a bit of toe in now, definitely an improvement, but still funny. Does that economy camber gauge only work on the the hub? ie with the wheel removed? Seems that i should measure with the suspension loaded in order to see where it really sits, $30 is a great dea...

Re: Front Suspension Shims
well my car definitely wanders, i think its majorly screwed up coz' it wanders, pulls to the left etc. I think the issue is how high it sits up front, havent messed with shims or aything ever since i swapped in the 900 mill. Anyone else have experience with screwey ride height after a motor swap? I ...

Re: Front Suspension Shims
I finally got around to checking my toe this weekend, it was off about .75" (toe out), I used a piece of electrical conduit with a couple of pieces of steel strap with some pointy screws in them to pierce a piece of masking tape, rotate the wheels 180 deg and then recheck. Got it pretty good no...

Re: Real Sport and Rally Fender Flares
Hey, REALLY dumb question here, buut will these things allow for a wider set of tires/wheels (with the proper offset of course) or are they just to keep gravel from being sprayed all over the place? This is my second post so at least I'm officially a dumbass. I have an 80 99 that I'm tinkering with,...

megasquirting
I have the v3 pcb and an msII daughterboard, havent gotten around to putting it together yet, so no code loaded at all. I think i really just got sick of chasing down gremlins in the LH, seems like diagnosis mostly consists of replacing stuff til' it works properly!

megasquirting
does anyone have a 900 t16v map they would be willing to share? I'm in the process of putting my megasquirt kit together and would love to have a reasonable map to start with. Its an 87' motor with the 2 wire AIC, i'm planning on getting the pintle valve stepper motor they sell for idle, seems like ...
