Nope, it appears as though the sprocket on the jackshaft shattered. common? It's in at least two pieces down in there.

Re: Halloween Stages Rally--DOH!
Yea, I've got some $$ tied up in this engine, so if I didn't hurt the valves, I'm just going to put a new chain and an MGB tensioner in it and call it a day. If the head is hurt...well then it opens up other possibilities.

Halloween Stages Rally--DOH!
I got four stages into the Halloween Stages Rally here in FL today and the timing chain or tensioner let go. Chewed up the valve cover and the engine stopped. Haven't taken it apart to see how bad it is. I'm assuming I have to take the engine out to fix it...doh! First DNF in the car's 4 events... p...

Re: The Stig
Hi Saab guys, our newest rallyist, Stig Kilmer Schroeder, was born at 0111 this morning (Wednesday, 8/6/08). The little monster weighed in at 9 lbs, 4 ounces. After nearly 72 hours of contractions with negligible forward progress, we opted for a cesarian and the baby was delivered just fine. Kim is ...

Re: Serious question
It depends.
It's got some pluses and minuses:
Pluses:
rare
cool
minuses
hard to ship
only valuable to the whackjobs like us who like old Saabs. Here in the states, that's like 6 people.
those last two make it hard to say it'll go for tons of money, because honestly, it'll cost a bunch to ship.

Quick Question: Brake Line fittings
I'm at the office and trying to order some parts to adapt Wilwood calipers to the stock system and I've got some questions (can't look at car to confirm what I think) Front: Brake line fitting at wheel well wall: 10mm metric bubble at the end of flex line. Brake line fitting at other end: 10mm male ...
