Re: OK it's not a Saab, but... vaccum question
So, the car sucks more than he expected?
Vacuum is somewhat related to compression, but honestly, I'm not sure if this is a problem at all. Could just be a gauge anomaly.

Re: My notchback project
Zombie thread:
How are you guys connecting the Wilwood calipers to the stock braking system. Cut off the end of the small hard line at the front caliper and reflare for US? Or is there some fittings from here:
http://www.wilwood.com/Products/008-Com ... /index.asp
that could help?

Re: Light-pressure turbo....random thoughts, nothing serious.
The air/fuel is getting better---playing with a manual adjustable WUR now to get a decent a/f curve. Power was 112hp with a pig-rich stock WUR (10:1 at 6k!) and I'm playing around with different control and system pressures and watching the wideband---even still, it's probably still less than 120 at...

Dumb question number 34
Ok, my R axle seal is leaking pretty good. since I didn't install the diff (had a driveline shop do it) I'm unfamiliar with how that all goes together. How does one get the stub axle out of the transmission to swap that out? Unbolt that side cover? slide hammer? tactical nuke? thanks as always! per

Re: Light-pressure turbo....random thoughts, nothing serious.
Good info. Crazyswede: the gear-drive I was talking about was the 4-speed that I have in the garage, OE for the 77. There's a 5-speed in the car now...that's what I want to modify. Sean: So...we're currently overdriving, and with stock parts you can get it close to 1:1 (31/30) and you're talking abo...

Re: Shell Preppin '74 EMS
I'm really glad you guys are getting this fixed pronto.
Are you taking the time to tab the cage to the windshield and door 'frame' up top? might be a good time to reinforce that area. Even less to fix on the next roll!

Yea, that four-speed that I have is a gear drive. So..yea, if anyone has a 31/30 and that 4-speed chain, I'd love to have it.
Hard to put on?

Re: Motorsport quality front engine mount-99
Works pretty well. I've already previously plated that area and the new mount took some small amount of machining (which the stock mount also required post reinforcement). Solidly holds the front of the engine and I *think* *hope* it's solved the gear-jumping issue. I also through-bolted the two sid...

thanks! I just changed the front mount w/o even losing any coolant...so that would be easy enough to take care of...I would think.

Re: Light-pressure turbo....random thoughts, nothing serious.
That 31/30 from four-speed is just from the 99 turbo box, right?
Anybody have one? Can that be done with the transmission in the car?
