Re: Clutch slave failures...WTF?
How are the Master or the flex line? Could be sending junk to the slave? I added a pedal stop when I ran my Quarter Master setup. It just did not need much travel to disengage.

Re: C900 gearbox girdle
Update, 30 months after completion it is finally installed in the car. I was second guessing myself in thinking the steering rack and the gussets would crash. Only one way to find out. She is right up there, but I have clearance. Under 3/8 of an inch. I have a hockey puck front motor mount, so I thi...

Re: rally 99 primary drive ratio
Hi, been a while since visiting (too long actually). Finally fitted the primary ratio I made for the 99 rally car and WOW, what a difference! Thought i had a 31:30 fitted but found it was a 31:26. I made ( with Dennis's help) a 30:31. Glad to help, great you got it fitted. A bit more of a process t...

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
My pile of F'ups is quite large! But I'm a slow learner. I'm waiting for you to build a manifold for GSX-R ITBs so I can buy your first attempt. ;) Still bummed your original wastegate setup wouldn't work in my 99... Keep the pile, you never know something might turn into something completely diffe...

Thanks John, learning by doing is always a good endeavor, ever if it is a major F'up.

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
You mentioned anti balloon reinforcements. What is the flat surface thickness and why not up it a notch to retain the clean visuals? Would look awesome if the welds are ground and the whole thing polished. Excellent work and project! Thanks for the questions. The flat plate is .125 inch thick with ...

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
Simple bike pump since I did not need much air volume and a nice controlled accent in air pressure. A friend with a dial indicator and magnetic base helped measure the deflection of the flat plate area where we assumed would be the most ballooning. About .045 inched each side. A total of 3/32" ...

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
Happy Easter everyone. Hope you have the chance to spend time with your love ones. Time for an update. Rebuilt the plenum from scratch as I was not happy with the first version's direction. Spent a lot of time on the fitup to make welding easier. Thin material and butt joints can keyhole out in a bl...

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
The plenum had its first birthday back in November. Time to get jamming and make some progress. Started by working on a design and spending a bunch of money on clamps, flanges, raw pipe and a DBW throttle body. 74mm Bosch DBW unit that will work pretty well with 3" tubing and Wiggins' clamp/cou...

Impressive build. That is a great weight savings for linear/rotation mass.
Personalized pistons is the icing on the cake.
Welding aluminum casting is always challenging, so I don't blame you. Just depends on the planet alignment.

Thanks for the picture. I did not know the 204 was necked down. I assumed it was skinny the full length like the far right.

Re: T7 intake valves
Thanks Jordan for running thru your experiences.
I remember Mezzanine had some flow bench testing done. The guy who owned the machine shop thought the T7 valves were from a motorcycle engine.
