I also just put #7 in my 4speed box in my 78 99 turbo, I yet put it on the road yet,but soon... So the # 7 really knock down the Rpms that much! So this will be a very nice highway cruiser!! I guessing in stop and go traffic is a bit tricky ,but manageable ?

I removed the jack shaft and it was fine! Now it's a matter of removing the the pump. haha

So This how I acquired my Saab 99 turbo block. Looking at the pump it is a type three.

How does one remove a type three, if one only have the puller tool? (8392649).

I have access to 84 hubs and would get rebuilt 87 vented calipers and rotors.
I would be addin the later style T3 turbo to the H manifold. The original turbo is shot.

Hello, Just acquired a Clean 1978 Saab 99 turbo and I need to remove the water pump but don't have the tool. I heard of using a slide hammer. But not sure which one or how to go about doing it.
