Re: T7 intake valves
Thanks for the picture. I did not know the 204 was necked down. I assumed it was skinny the full length like the far right.

Re: T7 intake valves
Thanks Jordan for running thru your experiences.
I remember Mezzanine had some flow bench testing done. The guy who owned the machine shop thought the T7 valves were from a motorcycle engine.

T7 intake valves
I was at Scanwest yesterday and Rob Walden showed me a T5 head with the 7mm stem intake valves (T7) installed. Requires new guides and seals. Drops static compression by 3cc per cylinder. And the skinnier stem for better flow. Any of you hotrodders try this yet? I have a B204 head that I might use a...

When it rains, it pours. They just know they will be well taken care of and not crushed.

Re: Lagertha, 85 SPG Sport Touring
Thanks for run down on your project. Great to see some traffic on the forum. Been relying on FB to get my Saab fix, but it lacks depth. As for welders, I can not comment on the lower end stuff and having to move it up and down stairs is very limiting. That said, I have almost always regretted buying...

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo
A bit more fun in the shop tonight. The safety wire, although very functional, looked "Ag" (as in agricultural), as an acquaintance would tag stuff like that. Stepped it up and made a simple saddle with floating nut plate and thru bolt. Got to look the part when it up front and center. IMG...

Thanks for the update!
Thanks John, a bit of fun with the refinement of the system. I'm okay with the safety wire attachment, but might work on something a bit more sano. Also need to do a leak test by pressurizing the damper submerged in water or soap spray.

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo
The installation consisted of bending the existing coil lines and shortening one line to accommodating the damper's added length over the old T fitting. Once it found it happy place, I sized the length for the tie rod and figured an attachment method. Pressed in a Nylon foot and drilled for safety w...

Re: Twin Scroll Turbo
New Year update. Over 51,000 views of this project thread. Humbling considering the niche audience. Updated the exhaust pressure sensor system. Took the idea from High Performance Academy to add a muffler/damper to reduce spikes and valleys of the pressure readings. In the process of resigning the p...

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
Update on the plenum. A lot of cutting and sanding for fitment. Couple different CLR 4" tubing in .063 wall. Upper and Lower flat plates fitted and will add reinforcement features to reduce ballooning effect on the flat plates. Practicing welding the type, material thicknesses and geometry. IMG...

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
Well with all this excitement of the new injectors and low profile form factor, I hosed myself and created interferences with the cylinder head. Decided to flip the rail around and add new attachment tabs. Even with that the fuel return spud and hose will still hit the head. Next step was to cut off...

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
Installed the fancy pants Radium fuel damper. Uses MAP ref on the back side of the diaphragm, so under boost it acts as a spring keeping the packaging tidy. The theory of the damper is to reduce the hammer shock effect of the injectors slamming shut creating pressure wave(s) which may inject more or...

Re: Bespoke Intake Manifold B202
Update, primarily working on the fuel rail fitted and provisioned with a fuel pulse damper and pressure transducer port for the ECU to monitor. Stainless steel 9000 fuel rail, Injector Dynamic (Bosch Motorsport) injectors and my manifold design to live in harmony. Got the rail to fit fairly well wit...
