Re: Interesting B202L engine data
Thanks for the info Raul. Do you know what the compression ratio on a B202 would be with a T5 head on it? On 85 B202 block it will be less then on 86-93 B202 block if T5 head is used. I don't have T5 head here, I got T7 head with thin valve stems and combustion chamber side should be the same as T5...

Interesting B202L engine data
Am building another B202 tuerbo engine with new generation head, and I was going trough all my parts and just curious I decided to measure the weight of engine rods and pistons from different years. Here is what I got: Old rods 79-86 I think, I will just call them 85 rods, new rods thicker casting 8...

Re: Engine stroke differences
I don't care how much money you spend on reprogramming LH units, I heard Jak Stoll charges $400 for custom tune. You will still have junk, LH-Jetronic is pure crap, am sorry but it is. It worked well compared to the other automakers during 80s but for now it is not even worth spending 1 dollar on it...

it is true, 2.1L engine blocks to be seem to be made out of cheaper material, I have seen 3 engines of 2.1L so far and they all showed more ware than 2.0L blocks. I also heard that 1991+ turbo blocks are made from cheaper material. And that 85-90 blocks are the best. The 2.1L crakshaft is different ...

Raul, what? If your saying the same basic dimensions are the same, that may be true, but the blocks, pistons and rods are certainly not the same parts as old generation saabs (which there were still a few variations of). NG blocks contain balance shafts , the 2L ones are not slanted and are a total...

On new generation Saabs, block is the same, pistons are the same, connecting rods are the same, crankshaft is different. Now You can even put pistons out of a 2007 saab 2.3 or 2.0 liter in 1979 saab 900 with 2.0L engine. 2.0L crankshaft from 1999 9.3 will fit into old B202 block without a problem. Y...

Few years ago I was reading one of the forums and one guy from sweden posted the photos of his friends classic 900 with new generation engine in it. It was sitting straight up and had so many mods on it, I wonder what kind of adapter they used because the setup looked crazy. I was using google to fi...

Located near Saab's plant in Trollhaettan, Sweden, the shop builds perha...

Previously ran a T3 trim60, maxed out at 25psi. The reason why C900 can see the boost of 25psi is because B202 head and itake are very very inneficient, it flows poorly so the pressure builds up easy. Try 25psi on hi flow head and you would probably blow out the piston with pump gas. Nissan RB20DET...
