Re: 1980 SAAB 99 GLi project, misc parts (updated from below

Sean,

I'd like to buy both the 99 tank skid plate and the rear spoiler if you
are willing to ship ?
I'm willing to pay some time and material for shipping as well.

Wanted - replacement Ronal Turbo R10 wheel

I've located a set - 3 good and one bent of the Ronal Turbo wheels.
So if I can find one more good one I can have a set.
The bent one seems to be bent at the hub and looking at the construction of
the wheel I think it would be hard to repair.

Re: C900 Vented Hub Adapters

Jordan/Seth, Thank you ! Like Luke I've been stashing away '86-7 hub assemblies for the future - when I could have just pulled the 'axle flange'- hub and saved a lot of space and effort. The Eeu - EBC Redstuff pads - are these the ones that require drilling out the 'pin' holes to fit the Saab 'U' pi...

Re: C900 Vented Hub Adapters

Jordan, Excuse my confusion, but - The actual difference between a vented and a non-vented hub is the position of the backing plate and caliper mounts relative to the rotor mounting face ? Thus the caliper mounting is actually closer to centerline of the car ? This spacer adapter moves the wheel hub...

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread

Unfortunately the OE air dams are ABS plastic that becomes brittle with age and will fracture and break with very little impact. To look OE it's hard to get the black ABS look after repairs and paint that this one has obviously had. My EMS that has been driven a lot and lowered to some degree as wel...

Re: 60Kmi '78 99 Turbo project, Shelby Goldvanes, 99T Euro s

Sean,

I'm very interested in both the skid plate and the 99 2/4 exhaust.
What diameter pipe is the exhaust ?
What's your status for shipping ?

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread

Date stamps are often screwed up by camera user, but I'd be more concerned about a 5 year old full restoration that didn't restore the wooden steering wheel and put a cheap cover over it. Rust spot on front spring support would need investigation as well. Indiana/Michigan could have rusted a Sonett ...

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread

John,

What are you looking for in a 99 ? I have several good 99 2-doors here Just outside Portland,OR.
None are drive away cars due to long sits, but rust free and could offer choices of engine/trans.
They have been stored inside.

Re: cutoff date for gear drive primary

I'm pretty sure it was '77 gear / '78 chains.
I believe it may have some connection to the turbo 99 development.
Not sure what the early test car 99 turbos had in '77.
I've had a couple '77's with gear type.

Re: Saabs for sale

I will begin moving cars next week - even though I'm not sure where they are going. I'm going to try to wash and photograph each one. Definitely available : '76 99 2-door with 100K '77 engine and trans and JLawrence header exhaust. Very straight tan-beige so-so repaint many years ago. Interior old b...

Re: Saabs for sale

Radio, Tell me what you are interested in - or looking for ? The 99's are currently stacked in with barely squeeze thru room between, the 95 and 96 are here at my house and can be photo'd fairly easily, tho I would want to wash them before as they have been outside. I will need a tutorial on how to ...

Saabs for sale

I've been notified that I have to vacate my great car storage building. And I've verified I have ten Saabs to move - I thought there were only nine ? I'd love to find new homes for several : '65 95 wagon converted to V4 many years ago, some rust in front floor, rear body and chrome almost perfect. M...
