Re: T5-ing my 99
Well, it's still running super-rich, but it's still running. I saw that in improperly-wired TPS can cause a similar problem. My TPS wires are green/red; Blk/wht; grey. The green/red goes to pin 42. The pin out lists show that one to be "WH/BK TPS OUT" The grey wire goes to pin 45. The pin...

Re: T5-ing my 99
Swinging in the dark here John, but I have experienced rich running in the past that have been traced to the map sensor. Start by checking the wiring and pin outs for that. Are you able to hook up to the ECU with T5 suite? That would really make your life a lot easier. Many folks have been where you...

Re: T5 Flywheels
Great response Drew. I must have an early unit that are rumored to last 50 k or so. All I know is that my boost is very smooth and holds a the max (18-20) without a hiccup. I hate adding more complexity to these conversion. There are so many issues that can hangup people. I would be careful about ad...

Re: T5 Flywheels
"Yes, T7 valve, needs the hardware and software changes to the ECU, but, IMO a better, cheaper, more reliable valve. I have upgrade kits with plug adapters I was working on, but you still need to send in the ECU. Cost is still less than a new T5 valve." I know it is a popular upgrade to go...

Oh man. That is Rob Walden and I at the start line in the first photo. I can't believe that ten years have nearly gone by since then. Central OR will be a fun place for a convention.

Re: T5 Flywheels
Thanks for the response. This is a great product and I just wanted to make sure you had not overlooked something. It sounds like you are confident that you have zeroed out the mounting point to TDC. The more people running T5 the better for all of us. Good luck and congratulations on completing all ...

Re: T5-ing my 99
If the fuel pump runs then your relays are working. The ECU will not ground the fuel pump relay after the initial prime unless it gets a signal from the CPS.

Re: T5 Flywheels
Well.... I don't think you answered my question. In a stock set up in the engine block, reading off of the crank mounted wheel, T5 suite and the engine TDC are one and the same. In the aftermarket set ups we are seeing that the two don't line up. Hence the need for adjust-ability. The problem with T...

Re: T5 Flywheels
I see no mention of timing with this set up. You probably have done this but did you confirm engine timing (timing light) with T5 suite electronic timing? I only ask as you will need to use a timing global change in t5 suite if there is any difference between the two readings. (unfortunately you wil...

Re: T5-ing my 99
Hi John, Pin 59 is power to the ECU when the air conditioning is on The affect of this is that the idle is bumped 200 rpm or so. You could wire this in when the cooling fans come on or you could ignore. All this power source does is tell the ECU that the air conditioning is on and that the idle need...

Re: 900c engine install
This is my second. First one was in 2009. I got in a slow speed fender bender at the ski area in that car. It has taken me this long to get the second 900 going with T5. Have been driving a Volvo xc in the interim and I have to get the Saab on the road before the volvo kills me. It puts me to sleep ...

Re: RadioFlyer's 1980 900T
Great find!! My buddy had that exact car. We had a mint green '80 900t as a family car through the '90's until it was clobbered in Van, BC. Surprisingly fast car and quick spool up with no intercooler. Way to preserve an original.

O2 sensors
"According to what Jordan told me they are the same sensor just with all four wires in one connector versus 2 connectors in a c900. He's putting c900 connectors on my harness but apparently it doesn't matter much which you choose." Really? That is news to me? Trionic will throw a code if t...

Re: T5 Wiring Harness Help
It is very time consuming. But if you take your time and check and recheck your work via every pin out you will not have any big surprises when you turn the ignition. It is a wonderful system for a C900--but you must have the ability to connect to the ecu and change the maps to fit your application....
