Well i had to withdrawl my entry the night before the race, my co-drivers tow rig broke down before he could even leave his house, and then the rally car broke down on him as he was trying to drive it 4 hours to the race. We're not sure what caused it but it got pretty hot and a hose split.

So already in town doing the recce, we just reviewed our notes and found a couple cool places to watch, and went and camped in the hills. I had my camera luckily so we just road marshalled and ran around taking pictures.

Wow, when was the last rally in the US that had TWO 96es or THREE vintage SAABs competing!?

Mt. Hood looks nice. The last time I was out there (last summer) the smoke from the CA wildfires was so bad you couldn't even see the mountain.

i feel like i let the universe down by not competing, so 3 saabs could be out there.

my fault for letting the maintenance of my car fall to the co driver this time..

Garth (red 96) got a DNF, i'm not sure what happened. I'd expect them to both be out at this same event next year. I believe garth also has a road racing 96 set up, but i don't think he's raced it.
