Word is that so far pre-reg for the rx is low. That's good news for us... more runs. Lunch is included too, built into the reg fee. I'm down with the t-shirt, what ever it says as long as its slighty vulgar, in bad taste and that there is at least one pink one for Max. I guess we'll see how this event goes and then think about doing it again next year. I have a feeling that almost all of the people who would want to do something like this is either on this board or is already doing the rx anyway.

I think we should all sit down at some point and have a brainstorming session about the potential.

Cross posting some marketing material to other Saab sites could bring out more entrants, and possibly some fans/spectators. The opportunity to move product would be better geared toward non competitors. I think the Saab Tour would be the lure for more people. Possibly even doing a car show gathering at some point. There is alot of potential to turn this into a premiere Northeast Saab Gathering. Look at what happened years ago with Saabtoberfest, and the Spring Romp in PA, they started out as a few friends going for a drive, and within a few years there was a cult following, and 100 cars showing up for the tour.

But obviously we just let this year be what it is,... A Saab knuclehead get together. And focus on having fun.

The problem with getting a bunch of cars together for a tour is that you can end up with a bunch of knuckleheads driving like fools on the road instead of entering the rallyX. Plus if its a TSD/RallyX weekend there could be a TSD running around on the same roads.

Depending on the time, I think Luke, Jason and I will be driving right to the shop in Dorset to do any additional work/tire mounting and then head back over to the condo that evening. It may be the best thing to all meet at Chris's shop Sat. afternoon. I don't see getting there much after 12:30 unless I have to wait for a tow truck ;)
